Hello 👋 us again! TWAC2022 starts tomorrow!!!! If you’re in need of your annual fix of dot watching get on the YB tracking app and give these wonderful guys a cheer. bought our boat after our crossing and have engineered a brilliant 2 year campaign to get to the start line. They could not be a nicer group of brothers, so prepared and ready for their crossing. We wish them well and can’t wait to follow!

At last we’ve made it to

Britt is currently cycling around Britain ( ) with Rog joining for the Scottish leg. With a couple of rest days planned in for a trip onto Skye, we couldn’t resist popping in to see the home of Talisker.

A year ago we finished a little paddle across a big pond! 45 days, 21 hours, 2763 NM, 1 head butt from a hammer head, 1 wrestle with a marlin, 3 fresh fish dinners, whales, dolphins, sunrises to remember for a lifetime and two magical proposals 💍

Still so thankful for all the support during our campaign and crossing. We are loving reliving the arrivals through all this years Crews, great to see such a large fleet and so many supporters making it out to Antigua to welcome in their loved ones.

What an absolute privilege being able to see the TWAC 2021 crews departing from La Gomera at the weekend 🧡🧡🧡 We loved meeting so many old and new friends! Plus the compulsory visit to to check out ocean rowers' history 😊😊

Seeing the race start from 'the other side' brought back forgotten memories and smiles. Although it was nice to be able to sit back and relax this time around, we'd confess we were itching to row ourselves!! (certainly a bit jealous) This year the team had some more time to explore La Gomera and the more you see the more of an amazing place it becomes 🏝

What these 2021 crews have set out to do will be deeply personal experiences that will change the way they see themselves and the world. We wish them all the very best!! 😍

How does it feel seeing a marlin a week after being pierced by one?

No doubts you will all remember our unfortunate encounter with a blue marlin sometime back in January. Marlin 1 - Mandy 0, and a beak was left for us in our cabin.

What we have not spoken about as much is that we saw another 2, one of which we captured on video. How scary could this be? Well, you can most likely hear Britt a tad apprehensive as she realises it is, indeed, another marlin. Good job she didn't put her hand in the water 👍😂

It's difficult to believe it has been 3 months since we landed back in the UK after rowing the Atlantic.

We have been asked many times how we have adapted back to normal life. Confusingly, it has been extremely easy. We have been enjoying long night sleeps, fresh food and not spending hours on the rowing machine, but we desperately miss views like this.

We have seen some of the friends we made during our campaign preparing to row the Pacific shortly and we want to wish them all the best in their adventures. We are jealous... and not at the same time 😉

We’re reunited!!

We had the most beautifully sunny wonderful reunion with both crew and boat for the first time since arriving back in the UK.

Starting with the obligatory marina breakfast, before a day of sorting and tidying. Mandy is now ready for our handover to her new owners boys for another Atlantic adventure!

Huge thanks to for sorting out her Marlin issue and getting her back safe and sound!

“Rowing an ocean is one thing, but getting to share the experience with your dad is a different kind of privilege.”

“Taking part in TWAC is not just a 2 year project culminating in an Ocean crossing, it’s a lifelong appreciation of what you have, it’s a new frame of mind to approach challenges and a mentality to attempt the seemingly impossible.”

“Sunrises, moonrises, the calmest seas, the power of waves.... don’t get me wrong it’s hard work, but it is also one of the most empowering, exhilarating and humbling experiences on Earth.”

Brittany, of Generation Gap who rowed in a team of four along with her dad in .
The team spent 45 days at sea.
