Jason Rose’s journey to representing Team USA at the 2026 Cairns Cup at The San Roque Club is a story of resilience, purpose, and the healing power of golf. A former jeweler, Jason was diagnosed with HSAN-1, a rare neurological disability that ultimately led him away from the profession he loved. Determined to find a new path forward, he discovered golf and quickly embraced the game as both therapy and a source of renewed passion.

Through adaptive golf, Jason found not only a competitive outlet but also a supportive community that helped him navigate the challenges of living with a rare disability. He has competed in adaptive golf tournaments across the United States and proudly represented Team USA at the 2024 Cairns Cup, where he forged lasting friendships and strengthened his commitment to the sport.

Passionate about growing the adaptive golf community, Jason continues to advocate for greater opportunities and accessibility within the game. He is dedicated to helping others discover the therapeutic, social, and life-changing benefits that golf can provide. As he once again represents Team USA at the 2026 Cairns Cup, Jason remains an inspiration to fellow athletes through his perseverance, positivity, and unwavering dedication to making a difference.

Iain’s journey to representing Europe at the 2026 Cairns Cup at The San Roque Club is a testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative power of sport. In 2013, he sustained multiple traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and spinal injuries through rugby, having endured several concussions throughout his playing career. The road to recovery was long and challenging, involving five years of intensive rehabilitation.

In 2018, Iain discovered disabled golf through the Disabled Golf Association (DGA), and in 2023 became a proud member of the Brokenplayaz team. Like many disabled golfers, he faced numerous physical and mental challenges along the way, but golf provided a renewed sense of purpose and direction. Over the past four years, the sport has played a significant role in helping him overcome depression, rebuild confidence, and rediscover his competitive spirit.

Representing Europe in the 2024 Cairns Cup was a career highlight, allowing Iain to forge lasting friendships and thrive both on and off the course. Now, as he once again wears the European colours at the 2026 Cairns Cup at San Roque, he continues to inspire others through his perseverance, passion, and commitment to the game.

Jake Olson continues to be an inspiration both on and off the golf course, and Team USA is proud to have him representing the nation at The San Roque Club in the Cairns Cup this July. 🇺🇸⛳

Golf was a part of Jake’s identity long before he lost his sight at age 12. What many thought would end his playing career instead marked the start of a remarkable new chapter built on resilience, trust, determination, and innovation. With the unwavering support of his father, Jake adapted his game, relying on feel, rhythm, and precision to compete at the highest level.

Jake won his division at the 2019 USBGA Nationals in his first adaptive golf event, captured the 2024 U.S. Open title, and became the only completely blind golfer to compete in the U.S. Adaptive Open. Following his selection to Team North America for the 2024 Vision Cup, Jake has earned recognition as the world’s top completely blind golfer.

His journey is a powerful reminder that obstacles do not define a person—perseverance does. Best of luck to Jake as he proudly represents Team USA in the Cairns Cup.

Fight On! 💛❤️🏌️‍♂️🇺🇸
