Just some pics of our 2022 trip to the wonderful Pyrenees. This year we visited the Col du Portalet, Col du Tourmalet, Col de Luz-Ardiden and Lake dÉstaing. Such a stunning area to visit, can´t wait for next year🚵‍♂️ 😎

So, last week saw the return of John 'The Fish' Morton along with friends Jason Hammersley and Bill Ross. They were also joined by Caz Marsh on what turned out to be a fantastic week of cycling.
The group were taken on some of our favourite cycling routes including the Sierra Espuña, Torremendo, Cabo de Palos, Cresta de Gallo, Rojales and Cartagena.
Looking forward to welcoming each and everyone back as soon as possible.

So last Friday we saw the return of Big Cogs CC, a London based cycling club made up of a group of very good friends.
After an absence of 2yrs, the group were very keen to re-establish themselves with the many cycling routes on offer, the climb to the summit of the Sierra Espuña at 1500m being top of the list.
It was great to welcome the guys back especially when so much grit and determination was shown over the three days riding and to consider that their training is made up of commuting and the occasional weekend ride, their performances were highly commendable.
Looking forward to seeing you all again soon.

The Boys from Peraleja😎. It was great to ride with Steve, Mark and Graham again.
The last time they were here was just before the first Covid lockdown started in 2020 and now back again for two days of sun, cycling and banter. 🚴🏻‍♂️🌞🍻
An easy first days spin to Fuente Alamo followed by a day trip to Vistabella where we started our ride to Crevillent / Hondon de los Frailes enjoying a great climb, super descent and tasty lunch.☕🥘

The last year or so has been very difficult indeed in one way or another for individuals and businesses alike!

As a company that relies on people and international travel, there hasn't been a more testing period. The uncertainty surrounding the pandemic and the difficulties that have arisen as a result, could easily have brought our days of guided rides to an abrupt halt!

However, we are happy to say that the pedals are still turning and Murcia Cycling have welcomed back many familiar faces such as Mark Jones Vale Riders CC, John Morton Dooleys Cycles, our Belgian friends from Het RondeWeill CC and we even managed a much postponed sportive, the Moratalla Marcha. The prospect of welcoming more familiar faces next March and our registration in the Quebrantahuesos next June, ensures a positive mindset to welcome clients old and new to join Murcia Cycling in the coming months and years ahead.

Great news that the Vuelta a Espana is once again heading to our region of Murcia.
On the 21st Aug we have the stage 8 finishing on our doorstep in La Manga. Also, stage 7 includes the ascent of the Puerto de Tudons, slightly north of us and one of our favorite climbs.
Stage 9 takes on the tough Alto de Velefique, bringing back memories of 2017 and the pain on the face of Chris Froome as they climbed. 😎

With business severely affected at this very difficult time, a big day out in the mountains can certainly raise the spirits. Perfect autumn weather providing an abundance of sunshine and ideal temperatures remind us of why Spain is an ideal cycling holiday destination!
Let’s hope that we can welcome back many of our cycling friends to the region in the not so distant future.
