In 2023, Vitor “Vitão” Fernandes lifted the Surf Cup International trophy in Salou with Atlético Mineiro - gaining valuable international experience in one of the stages that helped shape his development.
Three years later, at just 18 years old, he stepped onto one of Brazilian football’s biggest stages - and delivered.
Called into action just 18 minutes into Atlético’s Copa do Brasil quarterfinal against fierce rivals Cruzeiro, Vitão produced a huge performance in front of nearly 60,000 fans at the iconic Mineirão Stadium.
