Friday two wood league another great win 10 -2 against greenlands two games to go got areal chance to win this league with a good win next week then we will see how the last game goes

Great weekends bowling at QBC when we held our now annual 321 competition. Which was this year kindly sponsored by Seagate Wealth Management. Saturday saw the Group league game with a prize for the best performing team
That did not qualify for the semifinal’s. This was won by Martin Crock, Ian Laws and Andy Reid, pipped at the post by 2 shots.
Sunday saw the semi’s and Final. Runners up, Claire Dye, Dave Gould and Paul Kern.
Congratulations to the winners, Cathy Skinner, Kim Bowles and Harald Olsen. (2 blooming shots, it should have been me 🤣)
One or two dodgy handicaps were noted and will require adjustment next season 🤣
Thank you to all who donated raffles, sold raffles. Football cards, marked in the singles and generally helped tidy up. I won’t mention any names because I don’t want to miss anyone out.

Next club competition. Early September.

Well Friday two wood today and up against the league leaders Greenlands, had to do some late changes to the team but what a great response from everyone thank you all we won 8-4 but just missed a 10-2 victory with Sandra’s last wood just sliding off the Jack on the last end to lose by one bad luck
However 8-4 victories both home and away against greenlands not to be sneezed at

QBC Tigers played their last VCL match of the Season yesterday against Emerald Isle Earls. Tigers started the day at the top of the league, 1point ahead if our nearest rivals San Miguel Marshall’s but despite winning 8-4 it was not enough to win the league. San Miguel pipped us at the post. Winners for Tigers on the day were Kim in the Ladies Singles, 21-4 Andy in the Men’s Singles 21-20 (phew) and Chris/Steve aka Smashie and Nicey in the Pairs 28-2 Unlucky Tigers. Penultimate game if the season for QBCs Tigers, Home match against Phoenix. Tigers coming out on top with an 8-4 win. Winners on the day Ladies singles Kim, 21-7.
Men’s Singles Andy, 21-8. Pairs Chris and Steve 31-13 all getting big enough wins to get the overall.

Final game of the season for QBC Falcons. Away to league leaders Bonalba who only needed 2 points from our game to clinch the title. The Falcons had a bad start and boy did it get worse, we were hammered 12-0, congratulations to Bonalba unfortunately we won’t see you next season when you are promoted to Division. A
The only high for me personally was my last bowl of the season, it was a cracker😂👍. Thanks to all the players and reserves who turned up all season.

Wow tight tight game at QBC when the Lions took on Greenlands Giants with each game except the ladies singles being won by 1 or 2 shots. But thanks to a great win by Sandra the Lions secured the overall points. 6-6 for the match.

Not a great result in this afternoon’s clash against San Miguel loosing 10-2 away from home. Some tight games but in the end only one winner for Quesada. With Andy winning the men’s singles( honest I’m trying hard to keep this modest 😂) still
1 point clear at the top of the league with two home games to come. Very tight run in, bit like Celtic and Hearts. 🍀🍀

Great result from QBC Falcons today in our match against top of the league Country Bowls Bluebirds. Winning on 3 trips and only just loosing on 2. Unfortunately for country bowls this result means we have handed the league to Bonalba, next weeks opponents. Let’s hope we can get a result there and ensure we finish the season on a high.
