Annette Rosenkilde is available, with Captain and crew, for overnight charters throughout the Balearics on request. Annette Rosenkilde is a converted Danish fishing boat, built in 1958 of oak, now being used as a recreational charter boat and a live-a-board cruising yacht for partners Juan Garcia and Leola Rigg along with their 6 year old daughter Coral, Pepa the salty sea dog and Flora the parrot!

Hi everybody! Just a quick update - we are still doing the refit and up in Port Pollensa 🐬
Not doing any trips for the next couple of months, but please bear with us! She will be beautiful when finished! 😍

Back in the water! Went in 9 days ago and she has taken up brilliantly after the recaulking. So we will be all ready to go next May in Port Andratx! Never thought it would take so long to get her in order but she is done. 🤗👍

This is so frustrating! Yet again our attempt to launch was a disaster. Sadly the yard put the slings over all the bilge and pump outlets consequently when she was lowered into the water and her pumps kicked in, the pressure pushing back caused the pipes to come off into the boat! Then someone pulled the power out and the yard workers walked off for a break!! So no pumps for twenty minutes whilst we rigged up emergency ones. I ran after the workers to ask them to bring her up whilst we tried to sort the problem and was told ten minutes - one hour later they ambled back. Then we were told we couldn’t stay in the slings as agreed so had to choose between heading out to anchor and definitely sink or back onto the hard!!
So lessons learnt and move on. Booked for this Thursday - hopefully. We are organising it like a military operation. Just hope they agree to our request to go in at 0800 and be lowered slowly as required for us to control the water as she takes up and be the only boat they move until 800 on Friday morning. We have bought a big have some of that petrol pump along side our big electric one and we will also hire another petrol one I think. It really helps reading the posts written by others who have relaunched wooden boats. It was very similar to the scene of the engine room in the film Titanic! Fingers crossed for Thursday.

Well its a busy time on board the Annie Rose. Its taking us a lot longer - and costing alot more! - than we thought to get the old girl up to the standard we want. Andy is working flat out, along with his trusty sander/painter Mili, and the two carpenters! Its also difficult trying to get used to the way of life and develop the shrug when you need work done urgently!! Another two weeks booked out of the water and on the hard. It will all be worth it in the end......won't it??!!
