Another very flyable week with plenty of PBs finished off with an epic easy day. We set a Goal well north of Avila to make a 100km without entering the TMA. A new PB for Philip and also a great 110Km O&R for Simon who stayed in the convergence and flee back from Ávila.

Mike Thomas's flight of 97km towards our Segovia goal last week. A nice low save towards the end. Last week was full of Flypiedrahita veterans, some regulars from over 30 years, and Mike himself for around 25 years.

With a forecast of light winds and a 4000m base, so Steve set a goal at Segovia. It would have been Avila and back but we’d had problems with fires down wind...

My first flight on the ArticR 2 (23). Just an evening flight, as the day was a little rowdy! Also my previous days landing on my old Maestro 2, after 7 hours 20 min circuit around the province. The final glide was from over 25km out to the north, to land in Piedrahita around 9.30pm.

Fantastic flying conditions with a number of PBs amongst our group. Also, unusually, a PB triangle for me!..an FAI 151km triangle. Took me 7 hours 20 mins. A flight I always wanted to do since the 90s, when it was first done on a HG in the HG world series.

I have forgotten to post here for some time. A busy season and heaps of flying. Since we had 3 PBs today it reminded me to post. A 120 km goal at Segovia, and before the airspace area pilots going over 4000m. A hot week ahead with the resulting high cloud based
