Johannes met Carolina at the Rio
2016 Olympic Games, where, at
the age of 22, she competed in the
Nacra 17, earning her reputation
as a “German Wonder Kid”. Both
wanting to continue their Olympic
careers, the dynamic duo have
united for Tokyo gold. Having narrowly missed out on an Olympic
medal in 2008, Johannes Polgar will race with
Carolina Werner at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic

ames in the foiling Nacra 17. The Olympic fire still burns deep in the bellies
of these two accomplished athletes, who are
both lifted by the inspiring story of Santi Lange,
Olympic Champion and team training partner. This is a story of unfinished business.

Time to restart. The last two month haven‘t been the easiest for us. We did 3 regattas in a row where we could never perform as we wanted. Nevertheless we took some lectures on the way which will help us to push forward in the next period of our campaign.
