Summer fades away quietly.

The grass shifts in tone, the afternoons grow shorter, and the mountains begin to breathe differently. Everything seems to remind us that the landscape never stands still; it simply learns to transform.

Perhaps that is why we return to nature again and again: to understand that every ending already carries the beginning of something new.

Gorka Karapeto, a Ternua Friend since 2008. For Gorka, climbing is not simply about overcoming difficulty — it is a way of connecting with himself. Specialising in rock climbing and highly technical big-wall routes, he finds in the wall the kind of challenges that keep him motivated and push him to keep evolving.

Between the precision of sport climbing and the commitment demanded by long routes, he looks for projects that offer something beyond the grade. Because a climb can also become memorable for everything experienced and learned along the way.

A way of understanding the mountains that he has shared with Ternua for years. The same spirit that defines Ternua.
