Un alavés de bronce y un alavés de fibra de carbono, frente a la misma ciudad.
Celedón vino de un pueblo de la Llanada Alavesa para traer las fiestas a Vitoria.
Nosotros nacimos en esta ciudad para llevar la aerodinámica a cualquier parte.

Cuna de grandísimos Triatletas y ciclistas, aquí se corrió un Mundial de Larga Distancia en un inolvidable duelo entre Chris McCormack y el ídolo local Eneko Llanos. Y aquí, cada verano, se disputan un IRONMAN Triathlon , un Ironman 70.3 y vi half gasteiz y muy cerca, Zuia Duatloia Duatlon de Zuia.

Cada aerobar IDEC se diseña y se fabrica a mano, con la misma paciencia y cariño con la que cada triatleta prepara sus carreras.

We’ve put a huge amount of work into developing our 100% customized monocoque aerobar over the past year.

Ergonomic testing, finite element analysis, CFD simulations, wind tunnel testing, aerodynamic testing on the road and mechanical testing — all to develop the solution that Mikel Ugarte used to take the win in Valladolid this weekend and that he’ll be taking to Kona in October.

We’re incredibly proud to introduce the result of more than a year of design, engineering, testing, and refinement.

Like all our products, it was:

* Designed in CATIA 3D
* Structurally optimized using HyperMesh & Nastran
* Aerodynamically developed with Altair CFD
* Validated in the wind tunnel with and
* Extensively tested on the road for months to ensure exceptional stiffness, durability, and real-world performance.

What makes it different?

Its rounded leading edge significantly reduces aerodynamic drag compared with traditional flat aerobars. Our CFD simulations and wind tunnel testing confirmed its biggest advantage at yaw angles of around 10°—the conditions riders experience most frequently on the road.

We also incorporated small winglets, based on what we learned from our CFD simulations. Their purpose is to guide the airflow away from the rider’s torso, preventing it from reattaching to the trunk and further reducing aerodynamic drag.

And there’s more. Despite weighing less than 700 g, the aerobar is exceptionally stiff. That means Mikel Ugarte can focus entirely on putting power through the pedals—not worrying about loose bolts, vibrations, broken aerobars, or any of the issues we’ve seen too often over the past few years.

Share your setup. Send us photos of your current cockpit and tell us what you want to achieve. The more photos and details you provide, the better—we believe good communication is the key to a perfect result.

Take a few measurements. We’ll ask you for a small number of simple measurements that are quick and easy to take from your current cockpit.

Custom design. We create your fully customized aerobar design in CATIA V5.
Design approval. We send you renderings and technical drawings for your review and approval before moving forward.

Prototype production. Once the design is approved, we manufacture a full-scale 3D-printed prototype.
6. Prototype delivery. We ship the prototype to you.
Fit verification. You install the non-functional 3D-printed prototype on your bike to verify the fit and riding position. If any adjustments are needed, we refine the design until everything is exactly right.

8. Carbon fiber manufacturing. Once the fit is validated, we manufacture your custom carbon fiber aerobars.

9. Final delivery. We ship your finished carbon fiber aerobars, ready to install and ride.

One of the highlights of the Ironman Vitoria Expo! 🚀

A Canyon Speedmax CFR fitted with our fully custom carbon aerobars, optimized for reach and arm angle, plus an integrated magnetic GPS mount that securely holds the hydration system.

And to finish the build: our Carbon Fiber Laminar Covers, converting a DT Swiss ARC 80 into a disc wheel with only 200 g of additional weight.

All of our custom aerobars are first 3D-printed and sent to the customer to ensure a perfect fit. Only once everything has been thoroughly checked and approved do we proceed with manufacturing the final carbon fiber version.

In this case, this beauty will be tested in the wind tunnel to correlate the data obtained from the CFD models.
