Remember seeing an e-MTB competing in the Downhill World Championship?

When we lined up a Wild prototype at the start gate with Martin Maes, it created a lot of noise. Sure, some people laughed at the idea of an e-bike on a pure DH track. But we chose to push engineering past the limit. Martin didn’t just race; he qualified for the finals and finished in the top 20, less than three seconds from the winner. For our OOLab team, this wasn't a stunt. It was a rigorous testing ground to experiment with maximum adjustability and build knowledge.

That disruptive Wild DH prototype became the foundation for our next big leap: Rallon DH, our first pure downhill bike, which went on to win multiple World Cups in its very first year.

1,000 car-free kilometers and counting.

When William Botka from the Cycle Paul bike shop first saw the Orbea Carpe and Diem arrive at his store, something clicked.

Facing soaring gas prices, an increased cost of living, and endless city traffic, William decided to leave the car at home and switch to full-time bike commuting. Since picking up his Carpe, those daily journeys have transformed. Not a single dollar spent on gas, zero emissions, and charging up at work means completely cost-free transit.

While William already knew Orbea for our high-performance road bikes, what surprised him most was discovering how that exact same dynamic ride character translates seamlessly into our urban models.

Now, the car stays in the garage, and his weekly average sits well over 100km of pure, traffic-free riding.

You can buy the same bike as everyone else, or you can build your own and add your own personal touch.

Covering over 3,000 kilometers in just three months requires a machine capable of conquering everything from icy winter roads to rugged volcanic landscapes. Coming from a road cycling background, performance and efficiency were absolute priorities for Max Pfuller, which is why they chose the Terra Race for their next bike.

Now, while preparing for upcoming goals, he looks back at the MyOrbeaCustom design process and highlight his choice: "I configured it myself using Orbea’s custom configurator, and the silver finish is one of my favorite details. Depending on the light and surroundings, it looks slightly different every time. Sometimes clean and minimal, sometimes bold and striking. This makes every ride and every photo feel unique."
