POSIDONIA OCEANICA 🌱🐟

¿SABES QUE LA POSIDONIA HACE POSIBLE NUESTRO MEDITERRÀNEO?

1. La Posidonia no es un alga. Es una planta. Tiene raíces, flores y fruitos. Forma praderas
submarinas de milers de años que ofrecen proteccion a nuestras costas
2. ¿Por qué es tan importante? Produce grandes cantidades de oxígeno. Absorbe CO2.
Ayuda a mantener el agua cristalina.
3. Es refugio de muchas especies marinas. Muchas especies utilizan la Posidonia para
refugiarse, reproducirse y alimentarse.
4. ¿Qué la amenaza? Las anclas, la contaminación, el cambio climático y malas prácticas
náuticas, amenazan un ecosistema que tarda siglos en crecer.
5. ¿Qué puedo hacer como buceador? Bucea con repecto y con cuidado. Mantener una
buena flotabilidad es vital para preservar el ecosistema marino.

1. Posidonia is not an algae; it is a plant. It has roots, flowers, and fruits. It forms
ancient underwater meadows that protect our coastlines.
2. Why is it so important? It produces large amounts of oxygen, absorbs CO₂, and
helps keep the water crystal clear.
3. It provides shelter for many marine species. Numerous species rely on Posidonia
meadows for shelter, reproduction, and food.
4. What threatens it? Anchors, pollution, climate change, and poor boating practices
threaten an ecosystem that takes centuries to grow and recover.
5. What can I do as a diver? Dive with respect and care. Maintaining good buoyancy is
essential to preserving the marine ecosystem.
