Le statistiche dicono che mi ci siano volute ventisette convocazioni in nazionale per finalmente indossare una maglia iridata. A me, però, delle statistiche frega poco o forse semplicemente non ci capisco niente perché sono felice, emozionata e anche un po’ commossa, come se fosse la mia prima volta in maglia azzurra.
Tenevamo molto a vincere il team relay, dopo aver sfiorato per tanto tempo questo risultato nelle passate edizioni.
Grazie ragazzi per avermi fatto provare cosa significhi essere campioni del mondo. Per averlo fatto insieme, da squadra. 💙🇨🇦
The statistics tell that it took me twenty seven presences in the national team to finally get to wear the rainbow jersey. But honestly, I don’t care about numbers or I simply just don’t understand anything about them ‘cause I’m happy, emotional and a bit moved as it was my first time with the so called maglia azzurra.
We really wanted to win the team relay because we’ve been so close in the past editions.
Thank you guys to make me understand what it feels to be a world champion. To have made it together, as a team. 💙🇨🇦

Avevo detto che sarei venuta a questo Mondiale a cuore aperto ed è esattamente come ho corso la cronometro individuale. Un quarto posto che per me conta molto, che sa di bello. Ora testa al team relay e poi a sabato per la prova su strada. 💙💫
I said I wanted to approach Worlds with my heart fully open, embracing the event and going with the flow. This is how I went into the ITT. My fourth place worths a lot for me, it tastes good (chocolate is always good, right?)
Now head onto the team relay and then road race on Saturday. 💙💫

Pronta per partire per il Campionato del Mondo a Montreal dove correrò la cronometro, il team relay e la gara su strada.
Dalla mia prima volta in maglia azzurra sono passati un bel po’ di anni ma la gioia che provo ad indossarla è sempre la stessa.
I Mondiali mi hanno portato tante gioie e qualche bella legnata nei denti; quello che vorrei da questa trasferta canadese è di affrontare ogni prova a cuore e gas aperti. 💙
Ps il casco storto come stile di vita 🤭
Ready to head to Montreal for the World Championships where I’ll be lining up for the TT, the team relay and the road race.
Years have gone by quick from the first time I wore the national team jersey but every time I feel an immense joy dressing in blue.
The Worlds gave me lots of good emotions and some bittersweet taste in my mouth; this time I want to face this challenge with an open heart… and full gas. 💙

Felice di essere tornata a correre dopo qualche acciacco post Tour de France. Un piccolo shock al sistema ma pensavo molto peggio. Ora qualche giorno a casa e testa al Mondiale. ☺️💫
Happy to be back racing after some usual- post- Tour issues. Too much coughing and some knee pain kept me off the bike for a little.
It’s been a little shock to the system but I thought it would be way worse. Now some days at home and full focus on Worlds. ☺️💫

Anche io sono al Tour e mi sto godendo l’atmosfera che c’è attorno a questa corsa. È molto di più di una gara in bicicletta: è una festa dove le famiglie si ritrovano, gli amici fanno gruppo e i camper parcheggiano in posti assurdi.
Mi sento - finora - bene anche se sono dispiaciuta per la cronometro di ieri, dove per un problema meccanico ho dovuto cambiare bici a due chilometri dall’arrivo e ho perso tempo. Oggi però è un altro giorno e via, si va! ☺️
Hey there! I’m also at the Tour and I’m enjoying the atmosphere around this race. This is more than a bike race: it’s a place where families reunite to spend a nice afternoon, friends bunch up to have fun and camper vans park in places I’d never imagined.
So far I felt good although I’m disappointed about my TT yesterday, where I had a good time but I had to change bike at two kilometers to go due to a mechanical. But hey, it’s part of cycling too and today is another day. ☺️
