Wipeouts are part of surfing.

Everyone falls.
Everyone gets held down by waves sometimes.

It’s not a failure — it’s part of the process.

Every wipeout teaches you something:
timing, positioning, balance, patience.

The important thing is simple:
You get back up and try again.

And little by little…
you stay on the wave longer.

Surfing is not just standing on a board.
It’s paddling.
It’s balance.
It’s coordination.
It’s core.
It’s endurance.

That’s why preparation matters. 🏄‍♂️💪

Tired after paddling… but still not catching waves?

It’s not about effort.
It’s about technique.

Surf paddling is not swimming.

Paddling must generate speed —
because speed is what allows you to catch the wave.

Big splashes don’t create speed.
Efficiency does.

To paddle better:
✔ Lift your chest
✔ Eyes up
✔ Keep your arms close to the board
✔ Use long, deep, controlled strokes

Less splash. More speed.

If you ignore paddling, you’ll never progress in surfing.

Yes — in broken waves you might get lucky.

But broken waves are only the first stage.

Your real goal is the line-up.

And in the line-up, speed is everything.

Paddling is not optional.
It’s one of the most important skills in surfing.

Build it from day one.

It’s much easier to learn proper technique now
than to fix bad habits later.

No direction. No control. No balance.

That’s what happens when you look down during your pop-up.

Your head leads your body.
If you look down, you go down.

Eyes up — always 🌊
