ANDALUCIA CUP 2025

First of all I would like to congratulate Francie Grehan ( handicap 5 ) who won this year´s overall 36 hole singles Stableford competition with 78 points. The 4 days golf was played in warm conditions with 160 competitors taking part. All 4 courses were in excellent condition, it was also good to see so many new faces joining us for the first time & thoroughly enjoying themselves & hopefully they will be back in 2026

I would also like to thank everyone else who participated in this years Andalucia Cup & supporting me once again in this great event, thank you so much!

The event was fittingly ended on the Saturday evening at Cerrado Del Aguila Golf Club where we all well looked after by Jeremy & his team with great food & service also to Tony Capo with great entertainment throughout the evening, thank you so much.

ANDALUCIA CUP 2024

First of all I would like to congratulate Gary Moore who won this year ́s overall 36 hole singles stableford competition with 74 points.

The 4 days golf was played in VERY SUNNY CONDITIONS with 152
competitors taking part & was probably the best weather we have ever had in the 18 years the tournament has been held.
All 4 courses were in excellent condition, it was also good to see so many new faces joining us for the first time & thoroughly enjoying themselves & hopefully they will be back in 2025

I would also like to thank everyone else who participated in this years Andalucia Cup & supporting me once again in this great event, thank you so much!

The event was fittingly ended on the Saturday evening at Cerrado Del Aguila Golf Club where we all well looked after by Jeremy & his team with great food and service, & also to Tony Capo with great
entertainment throughout the evening, thank you so much.

There was only one downside to the evening that so many players who were in the prizes never turned up for the presentation, in future if you don`t turn up to collect your prize personally you will not receive it. Sorry for these measures but there is a lot of time & effort that goes into the organising this event & a little bit more respect would be much appreciated

What a brilliant turn out for Kev "The Bucket" Morris Memorial we had yesterday👏. 32 golfers at Santana playing in the most gorgeous weather. Billy had a good day out taking the 2s kitty with 🐦 at 12, nearest 📌 on 2 and 3rd overall with 36 points👍. Paul, Kieran and Tony D (5th overall too🙌) took the other 📌 prizes. MickMac came in 4th place whilst President Willo produced a great score of 37 points to be runner up🫵🫵. But what a superb round Martin produced, winning the trophy with 44 points👍🍾🍾🍾. Our thanks as ever to the organisers and also huge thanks to England and Hull KR player Mikey Lewis for presenting to the 🏆 winners. Another brilliant day/night out⛳🍺🏆😎🍽️🍾

Only 3 players managed over 30 points at Anoreta for the latest TBGS outing this week! The 2s club rollovers again whilst Wayno and Lennart took nearest 📌 prizes👍. Jim was in 4th place with 28 points whilst Laurance pipped Wayno into 2nd on countback, 33 apiece 👏👏. But Tracey yet again produced a brilliant score of 36 points to take the 🏆🏆🍾🍾🫵. Thank you again to our organisers, lift drivers, club lenders and all the supporters⛳ who came along to help make another great day/night out🍽️🍻😎.

So yesterday marked TBGS 1st Captains Day hosted by Tony at Calanova. What a truly amazing day we all had and I know he was delighted with the wonderful support he received 👏👏. The day was so much more than just about the golf, but we couldn't have wished for a more fitting and deserved winner than the Captain himself with a brilliant 37 points🍾🍾. The full results are attached but we must not forget to thank his missus Christine and others for providing a magnificent buffet, Trina and Di for excellent 🍺service and Willo, Wayne and Tony for organising everything brilliantly. Lastly, a charity to be chosen by Tony in the coming weeks, will be supported by funds raised during his years tenure. Quite incredibly TBGS, thanks to the support of members and guests have raised over €200 over the last 2 weeks🙏🙏🙏🫵. Thank you all once again 👏👏.

Absolutely glorious weather greeted the golfers at Santana yesterday for the latest TBGS outing. Lars and Joe demonstrated just how important an extra inch 🤭 can be by gaining the nearest pin prizes 👍. The field was tightly bunched with Gary beating Tony into 3rd place on LR having both scored 37 points👏👏. It was the same LR that saw Wayno pushed into 2nd place by Chris winning with 38 points🍾🍾. Once again thanks to Wayno, Willo and the team for another great day/night ⛳🍺🍽️. Onto Calanova for next week's event👊
