💛⚫ Ladies, this is your chance to be part of something special from day one. ⚫💛

Join us at the very beginning of what promises to be an exciting journey—making new friends, keeping active, having plenty of laughs, and helping to build a brand-new team within an established and welcoming Walking Football Club.

If you're interested, come along to our introductory meeting (date to be confirmed). We'll share our vision, plans, and ambitions for the future—and just as importantly, we'll listen to your ideas too.

No experience? No problem. The only thing you need to bring is enthusiasm (and perhaps a sense of humour for when the first misplaced pass arrives!).

⚫🟡 FWFC Charity Funday & Walking Football Festival 🟡⚫

Wow… where do we start?

After a fantastic couple of days supporting our local community and some amazing charities, there's only one way to describe it...
"If Carlsberg did Charity Funday Events..." 🍻⚽😉

Our second event saw a fun-filled 6-a-side Walking Football Festival, followed by hospitality, refreshments, and plenty of socialising. The day was made possible by the incredible support of more than 80 people who participated, volunteered their time, donated, provided food, or simply came along to support the occasion.

We were also delighted to welcome The Movers & Shakers Charity, who spent the day promoting their fantastic work and running a raffle that raised an impressive €180 towards respite care. 👏👏

One of the highlights of the day was seeing such a diverse group of players taking part. From international representatives to complete beginners experiencing walking football for the very first time, everyone was welcomed, included, and able to enjoy the game. The football was played in a brilliant spirit throughout, with plenty of smiles, laughter, and healthy competition along the way.

A huge thank you goes to:

⚽ Formentera Town Hall – for the use of the facilities.
⚽ The Pool Bar – for facilitating the hospitality.
⚽ Costa Blanca Referees Group – for generously donating their time and support.
⚽ Local walking football players from other clubs who came along and got involved.
⚽ Team Spain Ladies – for their support throughout the day.
⚽ FWFC Ladies and Happy Days – for preparing the excellent hospitality food.
⚽ Luke – for supplying and managing the PA system.

Events like this don't happen by accident. They happen because people give up their time, energy, and resources to make something special happen for others. The support shown by everyone involved was nothing short of outstanding.

We'll leave the final word to one of our own members, who summed the day up perfectly:

"Another great social, all-inclusive day in the history of FWFC. Many more to come. Massive thanks to EVERYONE involved — top day, top squad, top supporters."

💛⚫ Formentera WFC - Supporting Local Charities ⚫💛

Sunday's club sponsored walk was the first of 2 events this week to help raise funds for The Movers & Shakers Charity. What a fantastic day it turned out to be, an enjoyable walk followed by a BBQ and of course a few well deserved drinks. A big thanks to everyone who was either involved, supported or donated because without your help we couldn't do it.
Tomorrow sees part 2 of our charity event, a 6 aside walking football funday.
