Ex Pat Expo Spain

Ex Pat Expo Spain Fuengirola Is a public lifestyle event for Expat communities living on the coast . We are now back as Expo 2019.

Senior Times has been organising the hugely popular on the Costa del Sol for almost ten years. The lifestyle event for the Coast’s Ex-Pats and Spanish population is supported by a plethora of companies, bodies and professional practices. Many of these groups participate in the event, year on year, so we must be doing something right! Even at this early stage – Spain is not u

ntil November -- more than 75 % of the available stand space has been reserved by a mix of concerns from numerous sectors, including: specialists in insurance; finance; health and well-being; currency exchange; eye health; hearing; building services; interiors; hospitality; tourism; the arts and much more. We have chosen the magnificent Hotel IPV Palace as the host venue for Expo Spain which takes place in November. This allows us embrace the large population pockets situated in the Fuengirola coastal area as well as the many towns and villages inland, not to mention the metropolis that is Malaga. After researching numerous potential venues, our next event will be at the Hotel IPV Palace fronting the 340 just outside Fuengirola next to Fuengirola Castle. This upmarket hotel and spa has all the comforts, facilities and services demanded by discerning exhibitors, as well as first-class restaurants, bars and numerous areas for formal and informal business discussions away from the hurly-burly of the expo hall. As Michael Flatley and I prepare to say our goodbyes following an interview in which we have talked primarily about cancer, writes Emily Hourican, we touch briefly on his plans for the future. There are indeed plans, but 'nothing I think that I can share with the class yet,' he says with a laugh, adding 'there are a few surprises. I’ve been approached to do some incredible things in Ireland that never even came into my mind… so I’m considering that now with my team of inside advisers.'

Three weeks later, on July 25, Flatley’s barrister announced during the ongoing High Court case Flatley has taken in relation to works carried out at Castlehyde, his home in Co Cork, that there had been a 'material change in circumstances' for Flatley – namely that he will look to run in the presidential election this autumn.

President Michael Flatley? Maybe.

During our conversation, he said cancer is a 'constant presence in my life'. 'It’s a weight to carry, when you’re trying to focus all your energies on your family. My son graduating from Eton and going to university, my wife, my focus on creating new shows – I just created a new Christmas show – but always in the back of my mind, you have to think: will I be here to see it? Those things present themselves, and that was never there before.'

'It’s a feeling those of us who have had this will instantly recognise. When all is said and done,' he said, 'all of us think our contributions to the planet are in some ways significant or memorable, but the truth of the matter is human life is that short, and there are very few of us alive today who will be remembered when we’re put under ground.'

'Very few people of all time are remembered after they’re gone. So we need to recognise the fact that it’s Our Lord who makes all of these things happen, and I believe he’s the one who pulled me through this. I think that’s an important part of it. But I think the fact that life is so short – to have it made shorter is, I think, somehow unfair, I feel. As a human. From God’s point of view, it all makes sense…'
