Sydney is putting our brand-new SeaLife SportDiver Ultra through its first real underwater test. 📱📸

Sponsored by SCUBAPRO / SeaLife, this is much more than simply putting a phone inside a waterproof case.

The SportDiver Ultra is depth rated to 40 meters, checks the seal with a pre-dive vacuum test, has a second moisture sensor for added protection, and gives the diver access to controls such as exposure, focus, white balance and RAW + JPEG, depending on the phone. Its large controls are also designed to be used underwater, even with gloves.

And we are not keeping it on the shelf.

Students joining our Underwater Photography Specialty will get hands-on experience using this housing and learning how to turn the smartphone they already know into a serious underwater photography tool.

Sydney gets to test it first. 😎

3 days. 5 dives. More than 70 minutes of training on every dive. 🤿

XTend on TB is not about a few trim and buoyancy exercises and calling it done.

For three days, the focus stays on the diver: position, balance, buoyancy, movement and control. Every dive builds on the one before it.

Dry practice first. Water next. 🤿

Our Divemaster interns are getting familiar with long hose use, working through how it should be positioned, handled, and deployed before we take the training underwater.

Because good skills do not start when something goes wrong. They start with understanding the equipment, practising calmly, and building the right habits before you need them.

Serious training does not mean you cannot have a good time doing it. Judging by these faces, I think they agree. 😄

Next step: into the water.

From first skills to two certifications. 🤿

Congratulations to Keigo and Koji on completing their PADI Open Water Diver and PADI Enriched Air Nitrox certifications with instructor Sara.

They started with the fundamentals, built their confidence dive by dive, and now have the skills and knowledge to enjoy a whole new world underwater.

That is what good training should do: not just give you a certification card, but make you feel ready to actually go diving.

Divemaster training is serious, but the best internships are about more than training alone. 🤿

There are long days in the water, briefings, skills, guiding, equipment, learning how a real dive center works... and then there are evenings like this.

A BBQ, a Tenerife sunset, plenty of laughs, and time together away from the dive center. 🏝

Sara, Sydney, Scott and Jan have brought a fantastic atmosphere into the team, and that makes the whole experience better. You train together, help each other, improve together, and hopefully leave Tenerife with much more than a Divemaster certification.

Our new website is live.

After a lot of work behind the scenes, the new Aquarius Dive Center Tenerife website is finally online.

We wanted a website that reflects who we are: small groups, personal attention, quality diving, and clear information for divers visiting Tenerife.

You can now explore our dive experiences, PADI and TecRec courses, snorkeling, and online booking more easily in English and Spanish.

The internship team is growing. 🤿

A warm welcome to Jan, who has now joined Sydney and Scott as part of our Divemaster internship team at Aquarius.

Three different people, one shared goal: learning what it really takes to become a confident and capable dive professional.

And just as important, we already have a fantastic atmosphere within the team. They work well together, support each other, bring good energy into the dive center, and make the whole internship experience even better.

The coming weeks will be about learning, improving, diving, and growing together.

Two new faces. One serious step toward becoming dive professionals. 🤿

Welcome Sydney and Scott, our newest Divemaster interns at Aquarius.

Their internship is about much more than completing certification requirements. They will become part of a working PADI 5-Star IDC and TecRec Center, gaining real experience with boat and shore diving, briefings, guiding, equipment, logistics, customer care, and the daily rhythm of professional dive operations.

With personal mentoring from a team with more than 35 years in the dive industry, the goal is not only to become certified, but to become capable, confident, and trusted.

We are very happy to welcome Sydney and Scott into the Aquarius team. From their first day, they are part of the team, and we look forward to sharing this journey with them, supporting them, challenging them, and celebrating every step as they grow into confident dive professionals. 🌊
