We are Ulster University Mountaineering Club, a student led club involved in all aspects of mountain

Ulster University Mountaineering Club is a student led club involved in all aspects of mountaineering, so there is something for everyone to enjoy! We engage in a wide range of climbing and hiking activities across the UK/Ireland and Europe from trad climbing in the local Mourne Mountains to winter mountaineering in the Scottish Cairngorms to sport climbing in sunny Spain. As well as social climbi

ng outdoors the club has a strong presence in competition climbing across Ireland. We compete on a regular basis at events including the Irish Bouldering League, Irish Leading League, Irish Intervarsities, G-Force, Blocstock and a large number of local competitions. We meet for weekly training sessions at Belfast Ozone Complex and Boulderworld Belfast. If you’re looking for an opportunity for travel and adventure, don’t hesitate to contact the club and get involved!

Last week we had our Ulster and Queens University bouldering competition! Congrats to queens on winning the golden Helmet! We plan on winning it back next year 😈

We had the privilege to compete in the All Ireland Intervarsities 2026! Sadly we didn’t bring home any medals this year, but we brought home happy vibes and great smiles!
Next year we’re bringing the big guns 💪
