Very excited that tomorrow morning is the very first JM Padel Academy. Had to do the first one here in Manchester of course, with schools from all over the City and hosted by the brilliant folks at .
I want to make sure that Padel Tennis doesn’t become an elite sport only discovered, played and enjoyed by those who can afford the time & money. My aim is to have 1 million kids playing padel in the next ten years & who knows, even inspire someone to eventually represent at the in 2032 or 2036.
I was very fortunate to discover tennis at an early age. As a scruffy council estate kid, it never felt like a sport aimed at me & my mates. Thankfully our local tennis club in Whalley Range invited us down one Sunday morning & I’ve been playing tennis ever since.
Padel Tennis is a great sport, wonderful cardio & fitness, hand/eye coordination but primarily the social aspect is fantastic for your mental health.
Working together this week with & who have provided the children with all the equipment & prizes they need. is up and running and spreading across the country in 2025!
