The fact that Eurafrica is able to take place year after year is down to the team behind it. It’s thanks to their hard work and their desire to make you all feel at home 🏠

Here are a few shots from the latest event. Although some people were so caught up in the action that they slipped out of the spotlight 📸

We’ll be seeing you soon!

____________

Looking back on some of the highlights from our semi-nighttime run at Estación de Gaucín. We can’t wait to use our headlamps this year ✨

_____

THIS IS CAMP EUROPE. 🇪🇺

For a few days, this small village becomes home to runners from all over the world.

Mornings start slowly. ☕
Breakfasts turn into conversations.
Runners from different countries meet, share stories and get ready for the next stage. 🌍

There is time to run.
Time to eat.
Time to rest.
And, perhaps most importantly, time to live the experience together.

Because Eurafrica is not only about the kilometres between one finish line and the next.

It’s about the places we discover, the people we meet and everything that happens in between.

Welcome to Camp Europe.
Welcome to Eurafrica. ❤️

_____

ESTO ES EL CAMPAMENTO EUROPA. 🇪🇺

Bienvenidos a Eurafrica. ❤️

🌍 Eurafrica Trail is many things.

It’s the people you meet.
The music.
The journey.
The stories you’ll still be telling long after the finish line.

But above all, it’s the places you run. 🏃

⛰️ The ridgeline of Gibraltar, deep inside the Upper Rock Nature Reserve.

🌅 The historic cork trails of the Strait, where generations of muleteers once travelled, during our unforgettable sunset stage.

🌫️ The misty forests of Cádiz, opening up to endless views across the Strait, where Europe and Africa almost touch.

🏔️ The white limestone slopes of Jbel Abyad (White Mountain) and the wild peaks of Morocco’s Rif Mountains.

🌊 The dramatic cliffs of Cabo Negro, overlooking the Mediterranean on the way to M’Diq.

✨ Five stages.
🌍 Two continents.
🤝 Three cultures.
❤️ Countless landscapes you’ll never forget.

Some you’ll remember for their beauty.
Others for the challenge they demanded.

But every single one will become part of your story.

Because at Eurafrica Trail, you don’t just cross a territory.

You leave with a piece of every place you’ve been.
______

As most of you know, Eurafrica Trail was created and is organised by people from Algeciras. From the Strait. From Campo de Gibraltar. And by people from Gibraltar too: the GSLA, Aquagib, Visit Gibraltar, our medical teams, St Michael’s Cave, our buses and their legendary drivers… The people of Gibraltar have been part of Eurafrica Trail for almost a decade now, embracing it for what it truly is: an event that belongs to them as well.

For us, these are days of celebration. Very special days, following the removal of the Fence between Gibraltar and La Línea.

It marks the disappearance of the last physical symbol separating two sister communities. For centuries, it has stood as a reminder of the differences on either side of the isthmus, often demanding an extra effort — and sometimes making it almost impossible — to highlight and celebrate the many things Gibraltar and La Línea, Gibraltar and the Campo, have always shared.

Today, we open the door to a new chapter, one we hope will bring even closer neighbourly ties and shared prosperity.

As for those of us who call this corner of the world home, we couldn’t be more hopeful or more excited about what lies ahead.

“Some races challenge your legs. Others change the way you see the world.”

That is what Eurafrica Trail means to so many runners. Five days. Two continents. Two countries. Countless moments you’ll never forget.

Erica came looking for a trail race. She left with friendships, stories and memories that will stay with her forever. This is more than a competition. It’s a journey shared with people who love mountains, adventure and discovering places few races can offer.

This is Eurafrica Trail.

______

Is the climb tough? Absolutely. (Especially if you’ve pushed hard through the first two stages.) But the views… they’re worth every step.
From the summit, you can take in every landscape you’ve already crossed—and everything still waiting ahead. Pico Vacas is a true lookout over the Strait, a stunning spot in the province of Cádiz, overlooking Algeciras, the city of the beautiful bay.
Cuesta subir?

She didn't come for a medal.
She came to run through two continents, three countries, and discover a version of herself she hadn't met yet. This is Eurafrica Trail: the world's first intercontinental mountain race.
Thank you for sharing your story!

Moments that make Eurafrica a unique journey. A very special stage race. (Not all of them, though 😉)

Happy, caring people who become family. (Looking at you, Lamya! We caught you 😄)
The Málaga stage takes place on Halloween night. This is how we finish the race. Pretty cool, right? Thanks girls! And Máximo too.
Our Gibraltar Barbary macaques. The true kings of Stage 1. You might find them right in the middle of the course (actually, you probably will).
We visit one of the most beautiful medinas in the world: Tetouan.
We have a suspension bridge! The Windsor Bridge, also during the Gibraltar stage.
Did we mention we have an awesome night stage?
This is the face you make after the Queen Stage, running through the villages of the Moroccan Rif.
Both the start and finish are in Belwazen, the beautiful village that welcomes us every year. Just look at that mosque. And yes, you’ll be climbing the peak up there 😉
We cross the southernmost forest in continental Europe, inside Los Alcornocales Natural Park.
During that same stage, you’ll spot the legendary Jbel Musa across the Strait — one of the ancient Pillars of Hercules.
And on top of all that, we have a beautiful hotel in Morocco where you can rest and recover between African stages.

Sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?

Just ask Erica (photo 12). She’s already a Eurafrica veteran, and every time she comes back, she has an absolute blast!

We still have 9 International bibs available...

See you in October.

We hadn’t posted in a while, and when we came back we wanted to do it from our starting point. The place where everything begins.

Reunions, expectations, excitement, doubts… that feeling that mixes a little of everything and makes you feel alive.

Because TODAY marks five months until the day we meet in Tarifa, and we’re celebrating it with this carousel that captures the light of the southernmost point of the South. So much light you can almost smell the salt, next to Isla de las Palomas.

Tarifa is not just a place for Eurafrica. It’s also a state of mind. From today, let’s travel in that direction. Shall we? Who’s already thinking about the adventure?
