Finding such a nice take of f spot, really worth a little walking. Remember that we say that "if it climbs for less than half an hour, it is flat....all the way to the top". We always like to detour off the main trail to visit spots like this....a Celtic-Roman settlement in Castromaior on the "French Way" of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela...known the world over as the Camino de Santiago.

Spring is here! We've started our 2026 hiking trip season, and this year one of our new Pyrenees destinations is France's superb Vallée d'Aspe, with so many beautiful spots unknown to the crowds. We love it!
