Today we officially close the Barcelona race in Benzing, and it is time to start focusing on the new edition.
Before doing so, we would like to share with all of you a summary of the results achieved this season, an edition that has marked a turning point in the history of our championship.
We started the training season with 2,804 young pigeons. During the 8 training tosses, 277 pigeons were lost, leaving a total of 2,527 birds, with an average loss of 34.6 pigeons per training toss.
A total of 2,527 pigeons competed in the 6 races, of which 2,100 returned, resulting in an average loss of 71.1 pigeons per race.
The 1st 500 km Final has been the most successful final of the six editions held to date. A total of 2,100 pigeons were entered, and 1,729 returned on the first day, representing an outstanding 82.3% return rate. In total, 1,911 pigeons returned, with only 189 losses, achieving a remarkable 91% return rate and clearly surpassing the results obtained in previous years.
In the 2nd 500 km Final, 1,899 pigeons were released and 1,551 returned, achieving an 81.6% return rate.
The combined results of the two 500 km Finals were as follows:
• Pigeons entered: 2,100
• Pigeons returned: 1,551
• Pigeons lost: 549
These figures represent an excellent overall return rate of 74% across the two 500 km Finals.
In the 1st Zaragoza Extra Race (701 km), 1,424 pigeons were entered and 1,019 returned. With a return rate of 71.6%, this race became the most successful at this distance in the history of our six editions.
In Barcelona, the Queen Race of 896 km, 952 pigeons were entered and 261 returned, achieving a 27.4% return rate. This also represents the best result achieved in the six editions of this demanding race.
This edition has exceeded all our expectations. We have improved the records and statistics of previous years, demonstrating the quality of the participating pigeons, the excellent preparation carried out throughout the season, and the commitment of everyone involved.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participants, to those who placed their trust in us, and to everyone who, through their effort, dedication, and support, contributed to making this historic edition such an outstanding success.
We now look to the future with the same enthusiasm and commitment. The new edition is already underway, and we will continue working hard to provide an even better competition year after year.

Hoy cerramos oficialmente la carrera de Barcelona en Benzing y es el momento de comenzar a centrarnos en la nueva edición.
Pero antes, queremos compartir con todos vosotros un resumen de los resultados obtenidos esta temporada, una edición que ha marcado un antes y un después en la historia de nuestro campeonato.
Comenzamos los entrenamientos con 2.804 pichones. Durante los 8 entrenamientos se perdieron 277 palomas, quedando un total de 2.527 ejemplares, con una media de pérdidas de 34,6 palomas por entrenamiento.
En las 6 carreras disputadas participaron 2.527 palomas, de las cuales regresaron 2.100, registrándose una media de pérdidas de 71,1 palomas por carrera.
La 1.ª Final de 500 km ha sido la más exitosa de las seis ediciones celebradas hasta la fecha. Se enviaron 2.100 palomas y durante el primer día regresaron 1.729 ejemplares, lo que representa un extraordinario 82,3% de recepción. Finalmente regresaron 1.911 palomas, con tan solo 189 pérdidas, alcanzando un espectacular 91% de recepción total y superando ampliamente los resultados obtenidos en años anteriores.
En la 2.ª Final de 500 km se soltaron 1.899 palomas, de las cuales regresaron 1.551, obteniéndose un 81,6% de recepción.
El resultado conjunto de las dos finales de 500 km fue el siguiente:
• Palomas enviadas: 2.100
• Palomas regresadas: 1.551
• Palomas perdidas: 549
Estos datos representan un magnífico 74% de recepción acumulada en las dos finales de 500 km.
En la 1.ª Extra Zaragoza (701 km) se enviaron 1.424 palomas, regresando 1.019 ejemplares. Con una recepción del 71,6%, esta carrera se convierte en la más exitosa de las seis ediciones para esta distancia.
En Barcelona, la Carrera Reina de 896 km, se enviaron 952 palomas y regresaron 261, alcanzando una recepción del 27,4%, lo que supone igualmente el mejor resultado logrado en las seis ediciones para esta exigente prueba.
Esta edición ha superado todas nuestras expectativas. Hemos conseguido mejorar los registros y estadísticas de años anteriores, demostrando la calidad de las palomas participantes, el excelente trabajo de preparación realizado durante toda la campaña y el compromiso de todos los implicados.
Queremos expresar nuestro más sincero agradecimiento a todos los participantes, a quienes depositaron su confianza en nosotros y a todas las personas que, con su esfuerzo, dedicación y apoyo, han contribuido a hacer posible una edición histórica y un éxito rotundo.
Ahora comenzamos a mirar hacia el futuro con la misma ilusión y compromiso. La nueva edición ya está en marcha y seguiremos trabajando para ofrecer una competición cada vez mejor.
