What I thought to be a badly sprained wrist turns out is broken in 2 places 🙈 Looks highly likely the scaphoid will need to be pinned, should find out in the next few days. Most likely going to miss Cadwell in 2.5 weeks which is a shame as I was really looking forward to riding there again. An already short season just became much shorter, lets hope for some better luck next year! 🤞🏁

Snett Race 2, not posted the 1st race as I rode like a 💩 but it's on YouTube if you are bored 😂 Felt really confident in this race and went over 2 seconds quicker than the previous day!

The highs and lows of racing. Round 1 at Snetterton with No Limits Racing NLR, 3rd, 1st, 2nd and crashed out of the final race. Sore wrist but no broken bones which is a relief, bike needs a bit of TLC but nothing that cannot be fixed. Big thanks to Dad for taking care of me and the bike this weekend! Been good to catch up with the racing family again 👍 not sure if we will be at Oulton but looking forward to making amends at Cadwell 🏁

Here's a lap from Cartagena last week, looking back plenty of room for improvement but it felt brilliant to be back on the bike. As it's nearly the start of this season I'd like to say a few thank yous to those that have helped me so far. I'm really looking forward to the season ahead!

Race preparation is well under way! Back in July whilst feeling sorry for myself I decided I needed to lose weight and picked a random figure of 15kg, on Sunday I finally achieved this after 24 weeks weighing in at 74.9kg. Majority of this has been a result of calorie counting but I've also been cycling 5-6 days a week to keep my fitness up. I'm not going to lie it has been tough and this experience has really opened my eyes to the difference between wanting to eat and needing to eat!

Might put a little bit of that back on over Christmas 🙈 The next target is to hit 70kg before the first race in March! 💪

As it's been 5 months thought I'd post an injury update. Starting to make good progress with the shoulder, I'm now weight bearing comfortably and have a good range of motion back. Shoulder specialist is still concerned about stability and I have to go back before Christmas for another review to see if any work is required.

In the mean time I have been putting the hours in on my indoor trainer, cycling 6 days a week! Entered my first race on Tuesday and was leading until the last 200m where i ran out of steam, made some huge improvements to my fitness and have lost 13.2kg in the last 18 weeks! 💪

I'm fully focused on returning to racing next year, bike preparation is well underway and fingers crossed I will be ready too. Cant wait to get back on the bike 😊

Injury update, had a follow up with the shoulder specialist and the CT scan showed that I have a hairline fracture in the upper arm and chipped some bone off the shoulder socket which is displaced by approx 1cm. Depending on the size of the displaced bone surgery maybe required to repair the socket but I won't know that for another few weeks. A bit bummed out to be honest as I just want to get back to racing however i have to be patient and continue to rest the shoulder for now. No idea when we will be back, fingers crossed it won't be too long 🤞

I'll take it as a compliment that Dorna mistook one of my race videos for WSBK footage, can see the similarities in speed! 🤔😂
