MSA Short Circuit GP
Round 1 Race Report
It was a really strong start to the season for me and the King Price Xtreme Team.
We kicked things off at Vereeniging Kart Circuit where I managed to put my Honda in Pole Position.
In Race 1, I got a solid start and quickly found myself in a big battle with Ryan. We pushed each other hard the whole race doing consistent 55s the entire race.
I managed to stay ahead and crossed the line in 1st place.
Race 2 was shaping up to be another great fight. I got another good start and once again Ryan and I were going at it. After swoping positions we unfortunately came together in Turn 2 and both went down.
I was able to get back on the bike and finish the race, scoring some points.
That meant I had to start Race 3 from the back of the grid.
I knew it would be a tall ask but I was determined to Win.
I got a great launch and managed to slowly work my way to the front.
Once I made the move for thr lead I put my head down and just focused on hitting my marks. I brought it home in 1st place, which was an amazing feeling after that kind of Race 2.
I’m really happy with how the day turned out — two race wins and 1st Overall. On top of that, I set my fastest ever lap at the circuit with a 54.853, which I am ɓsuper proud of.
It was also a special day for the family, with my little brother Blake taking 1st Overall in the Junior 150 Class — well done, Blakey !
Thanks Uncle AJ for helping me with my suspension, my bike was on rails.
A huge thank you to all our sponsors and everyone supporting me and the team, especially Uncle Shaun and Uncle Clint.
It really means a lot to us.
Now it’s full focus on Round 2 at Redstar Raceway.
