The Way of Legends, a unique event where you will traverse through amazing natural monuments and renowned vineyards, run past medieval castles and stay at stunning villages, stop-off at classic film sets and visit historic wine cellars, eat in boutique restaurants and meet famous personalities, and if you manage to finish all six stages within the allotted time you will receive the beautiful handcrafted solid silver finisher´s medal.

The Way of Legends is a race that is continuously evolving and striving to improve, keeping the experience fresh and exciting and thus encouraging the runners to come back year after year.
As a result we have a group of 15 runners that have completed 3 or more editions of the race with The One and Only Legend "Stan Lee" from Canada on top of the All Time Finishers list having completed all 6 editions of the race till now.

A glorious morning for the Course Director of The Way of Legends taking a well earned victory at the local sprint mountain trail race in Pineda de la Sierra (Burgos).
Looks like all the hard work this winter exploring new route alternatives for the next edition of the race has paid off!!!

At the Sixth Edition of the Way of Legends in October 2025 we crowned 11 New Legends who not only became members of the select group of all time Legends but also took home the amazing finisher´s medal "COR", a unique solid silver hand crafted Jewel created by the renowned local artist Oscar Martin de Burgos.

While our Race Director and Course Marker are out enjoying the February sun exploring some new route variations for the 7th edition, I´ll leave you with a few more photos from the 6th edition.

What makes any event special is undoubtedly the people involved, both runners and the staff, and surely at the 6th Edition of the Way of Legends we had a lot of wonderful people that made the race so incredibly special.
