🏔️ What an epic day in the Tena Valley!
Today we explored a brand-new route in Baños de Panticosa area for our Easy Option. This spectacular hike takes us into the granite heart of the mountains, surrounded by 3,000m peaks, snowfields, alpine lakes, and cascading waterfalls.
Our guests loved it, and so did we. This route is definitely here to stay as part of our Easy Option programme! ✨

We’re right in the heart of the season now, with boots on trails in several different corners of the Pyrenees.

This week, we have a large guided group based in Biescas, enjoying the valleys, views and mountain paths of the Valle de Tena. Nearby, in Panticosa, we’re also looking after a private group, with walks tailored especially for them.

At the same time, several couples are out enjoying our self-guided holidays — walking independently from village to village, with all the logistics taken care of behind the scenes.

And, as we always like to keep exploring, some of our guides are also out discovering new routes for our French Pyrenees holiday later this month.

It’s a lovely moment in the season: full days, varied walks, familiar valleys, new trails, and plenty of happy hikers enjoying the Pyrenees in their own way.

This week we’re in La Cerdanya, in the Catalan Pyrenees, enjoying our guided walking holiday in this beautiful corner of the mountains.

It’s a week of wide valleys, peaceful trails, traditional villages and superb views — a very different side of the Pyrenees, with its own culture, landscapes and character.

This holiday has been a real success this year, and we’re delighted to say that all of our remaining Catalan Pyrenees guided weeks are now fully booked.

A big thank you to everyone who has joined us, or who will be joining us, in La Cerdanya this season. It’s a wonderful region to share.

Our first Valle de Tena Explorer holiday of the season has been a lovely week of discovering the landscapes, villages and culture of this beautiful corner of the Pyrenees.

The group is enjoying a varied programme of walks and visits, including a wonderful day over the border in France to explore the Ayous Lakes, with their classic mountain views and peaceful alpine scenery, and a visit to Ordesa National Park.

Yesterday brought a change of pace, with a cultural visit to Jaca, one of the historic towns of the Aragonese Pyrenees. On the way, they also stopped at San Juan de Busa, a beautiful 11th-century Romanesque church, quietly tucked away in the landscape.

A week of mountain paths, lakes, history and local culture — exactly what makes the Valle de Tena such a special place to explore.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of guiding a couple who wanted to enjoy a day walking in the Pyrenees with one of our local guides — a relaxed, tailor-made day in the mountains, with the route chosen to suit them perfectly.

As well as our scheduled guided and self-guided holidays, we also organise private walking holidays for couples, families and groups of friends.

Whether you’re looking for a private hike with a guide, a holiday for your group, or something completely tailor-made, just get in touch. We’ll be delighted to help you plan your perfect walking holiday in the Pyrenees.

Is there a better way to spend a Sunday than with a good read and a little mountain inspiration?

Our latest blog post is now live, sharing the story behind our new Canyons of Aínsa guided walking holiday — a very special week based in one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, exploring the quieter canyons, trails and landscapes around Ordesa National Park.

It’s a personal piece from Juanma, one of our guides, and a lovely introduction to a part of the Pyrenees that feels wild, authentic and wonderfully varied.

This Sunday marks the start of the season here at home in the Valle de Tena.

Our first guided walking holiday of the year in the valley begins, and our self-guided guests are starting to arrive too. It’s always a special moment — the point when the mountains, the villages and the trails begin to feel busy with hikers again.

Before the season gets fully underway, our guides have been out checking the routes: seeing how the paths are looking after winter, where the snow line is, whether there are any lingering snow patches, and making sure we have the most up-to-date information for the week ahead.

These photos show the current conditions in the Valle de Tena — green valleys, snowy high peaks, and that wonderful early-season mix that makes spring in the Pyrenees so beautiful.

We’re looking forward to welcoming our first guests of the season at home and sharing these trails once again.

Last week, during our Canyons of Aínsa holiday, we had the chance to visit a vulture feeding site close to Aínsa, the base for the week.

It was a wonderful opportunity to see these magnificent birds up close and to learn more about the important role they play in the mountain ecosystem.

A huge thank you to the for making the visit possible.
