Through a progression of exercises, Javi will teach you to coordinate your feet, body, and arms, starting with basic movements and progressing to more realistic situations with moving balls and jumps. We also correct common mistakes, such as poor preparation or incorrect arm use.
In addition, we include practical exercises to improve your backswing, reaction time to lobs, and intensity on the court, helping you reach difficult balls better and execute a more effective smash. Our lesson is ideal for intermediate players who want to take their smash to the next level.
💡 The main takeaways from this intermediate level tennis lesson are:
🔸 Move quickly and efficiently, especially backward, using crossover steps instead of just lateral ones.
🔸 Raise both arms as quickly as possible to anticipate and position yourself under the ball.
🔸 Synchronize your feet, body, and arms for a smoother, more powerful, and controlled smash.
🔸 On more difficult shots, jump and rotate your body to generate power
🔸 Improve your reaction time to lobs by adjusting your foot speed and positioning according to the ball.
