Last Saturday saw our first ever ‘night edition’ of the Wacky Run series and for the first time we did a 5K distance. The Wacky Run is the brain child of and run in coordination with PB:Running and our ever willing band of fantastic volunteers. Runners are set off in groups according to their seasons best, with the slowest going off first and the fastest last. This gives everyone a chance of winning and an exciting finish for the spectators to watch. Thank you to all our volunteers, runners, and spectators from our July edition.

Well done to Kat ran the Rat Race Man versus Coast in Cornwall at the weekend. Roughly 22 miles in distance the course had you up and down hills, and in and out of the ocean. It was a tough and endurance sapping race but just look at that smile on her face.

July brings a couple of small changes to our timetable. The mid morning classes move from 10am to 9am from this week. We kick off with a Circuits, Core, and Coffee on Tuesday morning at 9am, a chance to chill out with your workout buddies after class. This weekend also sees the return of the Wacky Run 5K this time a night time addition. David will travel to Barcelona from Copenhagen to oversee proceedings. The Wacky Run 5K night edition takes place on Saturday 9th July at 20:30. The summer event of our popular Wacky series sees a shorter distance and a late start to combat the July heat. As always the Wacky Run has a staggered start with the fastest starting last and the slowest first, therefore giving everyone a chance to win as all the runners finish at a similar time. Come along for some fun and to see David who returns from his new job in Denmark to put on this race and catch up with some familiar faces. With few races taking place in the next three months due to the summer heat, PB:Running are finding alternative ways to keep our runners entertained at weekends. Last weekend saw our first ‘Hike and Picnic’. Meeting at Montgat Nord we had a lovely 10K walk through the hills between Tiana and Alella, before finishing off with a picnic on the beach, and a dip in the ocean. Thank you to all who attended.

Our next hike and picnic will take place on Saturday 16th July in Collserola, starting and finishing in Sant Cugat. Please book in via meetup.

Well done to Irene, Karen, and the team from for taking part in the Ultra Clean Marathon in Barcelona this weekend. Their team covered the 60K course, and contributed to collecting 550kg of waste, and raising money for environmental causes.
