What a career and journey we’ve been through together over the last 15 years.
I still remember when you left Fiorentina to return to Al Ahly and told me, “My next step will be the Premier League.” Two years later, at 26 years old, you arrived at West Brom and even scored on your debut.
From there, you moved to Al Ittihad, where you captained the team to the league title and played the entire final game with a torn ACL- an incredible display of courage and commitment.
Then came your story with Neom, where you led the club to promotion to the Saudi Pro League for the first time in its history and helped them maintain their top-flight status.
You fiercely represented Egypt on more than 100 occasions and played a crucial role in the country’s qualification campaign for the 2018 World Cup-the first time in 28 years.🇪🇬
You’ve faced many challenges along the way, but every time you’ve come back stronger; a testament to your character, resilience, and fighting spirit.
