Life recently…
Yesterday was International Yoga Day, and I didn’t practice.
No 108 sun salutations, no asanas — yes, a little meditation, breathwork, but above all: love. Love for my people, my family, and the friends who know me in all my versions and love me for exactly who I am. The ones who make me feel at home. The ones who are good for my soul.
In the middle of all this nomadic life, I decided to go to a festival — France, a forest, a campsite, friends, good music. I was completely unprepared: a tent, a sleeping bag, and my yoga mat.
How long had it been since I truly felt music? Since I spent days without yoga, without responsibilities, without producing, without practicing? And in that letting go, a door opened — a reconnection with a version of myself I hadn’t seen in a long time. A version that loves music, loves to dance, loves her body, loves people regardless of how spiritual they are, and believes firmly that music and dance can unite.
And while I was there, feeling genuinely good, I understood that this, too, was yoga — if I chose to see it that way. That energy. The world as a drum, everyone moving together.
I think that somewhere in those 108 sun salutations, we’ve lost sight of what yoga actually is: Union. Love. Feeling, living.
Thank you, yoga, for these never ending teachings.
Thank you for being a constant in my life for eleven years.
Thank you for helping me connect with what truly matters.
Thank you for quieting the mind and helping me feel — this life, this love for everything that exists.
Thank you for reminding me to stay open, to not close myself inside limiting beliefs or rigid habits, to remember that life is now.
I’m so grateful 🤍🪶
