Did you know...
There is a legend about one spanish king, Fernando VII. When visiting one of the oldest inns in Andalusia, he asked to bring him glass of wine. In response to the King's request, the owner of this inn served him a glass of wine with a slice of cheese (others say it was jamón), finely cut on top - only to cover and protect the wine from flies and dust from the roads, which hovered around the wine.

Long story short, the king really liked idea of´tapa´, which means cover or lid, and since that moment always wanted his wine served like that. Once you´ve experienced Andalusian tapas, you´ll understand! 😉

Sabías que...
Hay una leyenda sobre un rey español, Fernando VII. Al visitar una de las tabernas más antiguas de Andalucía, pidió que le trajeran un vaso de vino. En respuesta a la petición del rey, el dueño de esta venta le sirvió un vaso de vino con una loncha de queso (otros dicen que era jamón), finamente cortada por encima - sólo para cubrir y proteger el vino de las moscas y el polvo de los caminos, que rondaban el vino.

Para abreviar, al rey le gustaba mucho la idea de la tapa, y desde ese momento siempre quiso que su vino se sirviera así. Una vez que hayas probado las tapas andaluzas, lo entenderás 😉
