🎙️ Meet Vlado Šarić.

Vlado has been part of the Tenerife Tennis Academy family for over 20 years, making him one of the longest-standing and most experienced parents in our academy’s history.

His journey has also become one of our greatest success stories.

Not one, but both of his daughters, Mila and Iva Šarić, earned NCAA Division I tennis scholarships in the United States—a remarkable achievement that reflects years of dedication, sacrifice and smart decision-making.

👩‍🎓 Graduation for these two student athletes! 👩‍🎓Sofia Shangicheva and head off next week for the next chapter of their journey in the USA, having both secured Div1 scholarships. 🎾
Both girls joined the academy almost in diapers and joined the full time student athlete program as teenagers.. now look at them. Fluent in 3 languages, world ranked tennis players, traveled most of europe and some of africa, friends all around the globe, and a family here in TTA forever! Now a 4 year scholarship in the states awaiting them. This is what we call being set up for success! We couldn’t be prouder of you girls!
And a very special shout out to a very special dad, who has sit court side here at TTA FOR 20 YEARS!!! His oldest daughter Mila Saric was our very first graduate from and now with his second daughter iva following her footsteps, Vlado gets an honorary 20 years TTA jacket and can an honorary TTA parents graduation! 🎓 There is a special podcast with Vlado being released this week! Keep your eyes out!

Ángel joins us to head up our players’ physical programme, designing and delivering individualised strength and conditioning, testing and profiling, and load management across every session. Elite preparation, backed by science.

🎾 JOINS TENERIFE TENNIS ACADEMY 🏆

We are delighted to welcome David Marrero to TTA as Academy Performance Director 💯

Born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, David reached world No. 5 in doubles, won 14 ATP titles, and lifted the trophy at the 2013 ATP World Tour Finals in London alongside Fernando Verdasco, beating the Bryan brothers in the final. Grand Slam quarter-finalist and Davis Cup player for Spain, and now back home in the Canaries.

At TTA we are constantly dedicated to developing the vision and passion of every player who walks onto our courts. David will now be on court alongside our strong team of coaches, sharing his experience with our juniors and helping them grow every single day.

A great fit, a great addition, and an exciting step for the academy and for our players.

🏆 **TDC SERIES NATIONAL TOUR | TTA T3**

What a week. The TDC Series National Tour came to a close this Sunday at Tenerife Tennis Academy with some incredible battles in the finals, rounding off six days of seriously high level competitive tennis.

Players travelled in from across the Canaries and the mainland, and the standard on court was outstanding from the first round to the final point.

A huge thank you to **Juan Andrés**, director and founder of the TDC Series, whose involvement runs from start to finish and keeps the standards exactly where they should be. Great organisation, great prizes, and a tour that continues to raise the bar for junior tennis in Spain.

Thank you also to **Miguel Mesa**, our umpire for the week, for keeping every match running smoothly and fairly.

And to the players, parents and coaches who made the trip: thank you. You are what makes these weeks feel the way they do. Congratulations to every champion and finalist, and to everyone who left it all out there on court.

We are always proud to host national events of this quality at TTA, and it has been a pleasure. Until the next one 🎾
