🎥🌿The video-documentary of Sporural is finally out!

📌🤸‍♀️In this video documentary we show the three sporting events held by each country: Hungary: cycling | Greece: Trail | Spain: Kajack.

👉🌿Parallel to these events, some Plogging tests were carried out, including races for garbage collection and recycling, which we complemented with slogans and recommendations made in the native languages of the countries and subtitled in English.

👉🌊A few weeks ago, the municipality of Ares held an event about inclusion in sport! Students at CPI As Mirandas learnt about the possibilities of adapted sailing. The Ministry of Sports has created a new activity that helps to see sport from a more inclusive point of view.

👉📌The initiative, organized within the European Sporural program, had the collaboration of the ADM Ferrol Association and the Ría de Ares Nautical Club.

👉📌 Exploring the options that exist today, so that everyone, given their particularities and limitations, can do sport.

📌🔗The partners of SPORURAL have been holding video conferences every six months to monitor the activities implemented and plan the next ones.

📌➡️Even though the project is nearly done, we believe it is very important to utilize the experience gained from the project's activities and find ways to increase the interest in doing sport in nature.

🌿 🌊 The coordinator of SPORURAL, Ares Municipality, organized an orientation course activity collecting waste from nature!

➡️ More specifically, students walked through the urban beach of the locality in search of waste, collecting and learning to classify them in what is now called 'Basureira Orientation'. However, the final activity of Sporural does not end there, but it also incorporates a sport practice in eido mariñeiro, approaching sailing, kayaking and paddlesurfing and showing all the potential of the municipality in these three modalities.

➡️ With all this, there has been an effort to strengthen ties with Greek and Hungarian localities, exchanging experiences and information: interconnecting sport with the coastal eido, promoting activities in nature, making them as inclusive as possible.

🌿📍 A look back at SPORURAL Sport Activities in Spain!

👉The Sports department of the Ares Council, in collaboration with the CPI As Mirandas, the Redes Maritime Club (kayak section) and the active tourism company Kapitrek, developed a sports activity in nature specifically designed for 3rd grade students.

🌿📍SPORURAL's main mission is to promote sustainable sports practices in rural natural environments across Europe.

✈️ In March 2024, the partners of Sporural met once again in person for their second Transnational Project Meeting in Athens, Greece! The Meeting was hosted by the greek partner, ΕΑΣ ΣΕΓΑΣ Κυκλάδων, joined by the coordinator Ares Council, CROSSKOVÁCSI Sport, from Hungary and the Coruña cultural association INNOdxt.

📌It was a very productive couple of days, when partners had the chance to exchange ideas about the project and share their experiences.
📌Among other topics, the partners discussed the progress of the project’s deliverables so far, reviewed the website, and planned the next steps of Sporural.
