We love to play golf! We have men and women players and handicaps ranging from 0 to 36. Everyone is welcome.

The Society is made up of people living here in Fuerteventura, those who visit for the winter months and many others who come for their vacation and enjoy a round of golf in the sunshine and with a friendly group of people.

Between broken buggies, broken bodies and the promise of high 30's today, we were left with mad dogs and English and Scotsmen! Boy was it hot today! It was 33 driving down at 9am.
In the end no one got on or stayed on hole 5 for nearest the pin, nor got a 2, although i had a putt for a 2 that did a 270 round the lip 🤬
All but 1 scored in the 30s, with Richard Mitusch 3rd with 33, Tom Musgrove 2nd with 34 and Kyle with 36 points and his 9th win of the year!

What a scorcher! In the late 30's today, so hot we were dropping like flies! Jim and Julie dropped out halfway round, the rest battled on. The heat was very intense today but also a warm but tough wind. Amazingly there was fairly good scoring all in all. No one got on the 16th green for nearest the pin, but Kyle got the only 2 on the 12th hole. Andy Brown got 3rd on his own beating myself and Richard Mitusch by 1 point. Tied at the top were our current order of merit leaders, Kyle and Stuart, so with today's joint win, Kyle pulls 1 point ahead due to knocking off a 3rd place while Stuart only knocked off a 2nd place. Well those who persevered!

A beast of a day today. 30+ °C but a strong wind. Thought it might affect the scoring, well it did mine! But apparently not everyone! Meilan, Pilar's niece joined us for a last game as a guest before she heads back to Madrid.
Nearest the pin was on hole 14 today, Kyle was the nearest but narrowly missed the birdie leaving Andy Brown with the full 2s pot with a 2 on hole 16.
In the members comp, a card play off left Andy Brown in 4th and Pilar gets 3rd with 37 points. After messing up the last hole, Jim Flood got 2nd with 38 points, and our winner this week with 40 points was Jim Dugdale. He loses a shot off his Hcap as does Jim Flood and i did last week!

Tues 25th August, Monthly Medal

After a quarter of the competitors pulling out last minute, there wasn't many of us left! However, those left playing had a beautiful summer's day, a cooling stiff breeze and bright sunshine.
Nearest the pin was on hole 12 today, no one from the 1st group got on, me in the 2nd group just got on pin high left, but Pilar in the last group pipped me by a few feet to take the prize. She didn't sink the putt and nobody else got a 2 despite all my putts being close on every par 3!
Pilar's niece, Meilan joined us for the day and as always played well after only her 3th game since this time last year! In the members comp, it was a card play off for 3rd with Noel and Kyle on nett 72, Kyle took 3rd with a better back 9 and myself and Tom Musgrove on his return, tied 1st place with nett 71.
