Due to the low number of sign ups this year, The Emerald Dragon's Tournament will be taking a trip back in time, to the first Emerald Dragon. We will be hosting a small teams tournament, with a focus on player training for the WC so as to make the most of the pitches we've been given.

With already plenty of interest from local and national teams, if you are a team or a lone player, join us and let the Emerald Dragon be your first stop on your road to Belgium! ❤️

Feliç Sant Jordi everyone!

Today in Catalonia we celebrate Sant Jordi! Although it comes from the epic story of the battle between Saint George and the Dragon, it has become the Catalan Valentine's Day, when people gift each other roses and books📖❤️🌹

And with this amount of love, we want to remind you that sign ups for this year's edition of The Emerald Dragon Tournament end of May the 4th. Don't leave it until. The last minute! Find the form in our bio and our stories!

We are happy to announce the release of the sign up form for the 6th edition of the Emerald Dragon Tournament on the 7th and 8th of June in Altafulla.

Once again, it will be a charity tournament. This year, we will be working with Hopeland, an Association aiding with the integration of abandoned animals, aiming to help the many local volunteers to look after the various cat colonies😻 in Altafulla❤️

*Introducción ~ Introduction*
El Emerald Dragon Tournament es un torneo benéfico de quadball celebrado anualmente en Altafulla, España. Desde la tercera edición el EDT ha reunido más de 1000€ que después ha donado a asociaciones LGTBIQ+ como ACATHI (3ª edición) o Chrysalis (4ª y 5ª edición). Los ingresos provienen de las inscripciones y las donaciones personales. La organización no se lucra de ninguna forma.

Al apuntarse a este torneo las personas son asignadas a una facción dracónida. Esta modalidad en la que se te asigna un equipo es conocida como fantasy. Las facciones difieren en color, personalidad y folclore. Esta modalidad fue introducida en la tercera edición y supuso un gran cambio de estilo para el torneo. Este evento es conocido en el folclore como el renacimiento dracónido. Antes de esa edición el torneo contaba con un formato habitual de equipos preinscritos. A partir de ese momento cada año se fueron introduciendo nuevas facciones dracónidas y el folclore no ha dejado de crecer. En este documento encontrarás dicho folclore. Siéntete libre de coger los trozos que más te gusten e introducirlos en tus sesiones de rol si lo deseas.

The Emerald Dragon Tournament is a charity quadball tournament held annually in Altafulla, Spain. Over the years the EDT has raised over a 1000€ which has been donated to LGTBIQ+ associations such as ACATHI (3rd edition) and Chrysalis (4th and 5th). The money is gathered from player fees and donations. The organisation does not profit from it.

When signing up to this tournament a draconic faction is assigned to every player. This modality is referred to as a fantasy tournament. These factions differ in colour, personality and lore. This modality was introduced in the third edition of the tournament which was a big overhaul. This big change is known within the lore as the draconic renaissance. Before that the tournament had a regular team signup modality. But after that new factions have been revealed each year and the lore has kept building up. In this document you’ll find said lore. Feel free to take bits and introduce them within your roleplaying setting if you like.

The time has come, my truest friends, to speak of the end of things.

The Emerald Dragon Charity Tournament sign-up form closes tomorrow!

~ Many are called but few are chosen ~

Not all Factions will be able to battle for their Dragon at this Emerald Dragon Tournament. Some will be chosen above the others to compete in this glorious competition... But who will decide who to bestow this honour to?

Over the next days we will be pitching army against army in our Stories, where you will have the chance to vote which teams will face off next month. The number of teams also depends on you, the more players attending, the more Dragon's will be represented at the tournament!

Canciones de heroicos enfrentamientos han atravesado el mar. Desde las doradas costas de Altafulla, casa del Dragón Esmeralda, hasta los puertos más orientales del cálido mar. Allí en los lejanos bastiones marítimos que observan el nacer del sol, se ha izado hoy una vela. Una vela de ocho puntos, capaz de navegar con los doce vientos tanto de cola como de cara. Ésta es la vela del gremio de aventureros Windrose.

La canción de La Costa Dorada ha llamado la atención del grupo de aventureros de Guillermina Subsolanus, capitana del emblemático navío "Las Barbas del Levante" y representante del gremio Windrose en el cálido mar. Guillermina acude con su grupo de aventureros a la promesa de la fama, el oro y la épica de la quinta edición del Torneo del Dragón Esmeralda.

Al menos eso dice las cartas oficiales que ha enviado al gremio Windrose para justificar su partida. Pero hay quien opina que ha oído hablar del sol, la cerveza y la música, y simplemente no podía perdérselo.

Songs of heroic confrontation have crossed the sea. From the golden shores of Altafulla, home of the Emerald Dragon, to the easternmost ports of the warm sea. There, in the distant maritime bastions that watch the rising of the sun, a sail was hoisted today. An eight-point sail, capable of sailing with all twelve winds, both head and tail. This is the sail of the Windrose Adventurers' Guild.

The song of La Costa Dorada attracted the attention of Guillermina Subsolanus, captain of the emblematic ship 'Las Barbas del Levante' and representative of the Windrose Guild on the warm seas. Guillermina and her band of adventurers have come for the promise of glory, gold and epicness in the fifth edition of the Emerald Dragon Tournament.

At least, that's what the official letters she sent to the Windrose Guild to justify her departure say. But some say they heard about the sun, the beer and the music and just couldn't resist.
