Matt is a former elite road racer turned full-time office worker still hacking away at the UK cyclocross scene with numerous overall series wins and top-10 national ranks.
Cameron is a cycling coach and gravel privateer currently based in Spain, juggling his own riding with coaching athletes across multiple disciplines.
These two young friends met racing together on the Spanish Elite team Brocar-Ale in 2022 and, after plenty of training camps and race days, continued to ride and set challenges together, from long Spanish gravel days to weekend-long routes and endurance rides in the UK.
Before the start they were clear about their goal: "Badlands has been something we've had our eyes on for a while -and it feels like the next step we'd like to take with the adventure and pushing each other's limits! Between the riding, training, and logistics, we're also hoping to attract some more sponsor support, and we’ll be aiming to challenge for the first pairs finish at Badlands."
