It’s here. London Premier Padel P1 gets underway at Olympia, and the courts hosting this first ever UK edition are one Premier Padel centre court plus five Full Panoramic courts alongside it.

When a fitness and wellness operator plans its largest expansion in years, the safe move is more of what already works. More gym floor, more studios, more pool.

West Wood Club Leopardstown chose padel.

Eight courts under one indoor dome in Dublin, with pickleball alongside them and spectator and social space built around them. It opens in late August as Ireland's largest indoor padel and pickleball facility.

Most of the things you can see about a padel court can be changed later. Turf wears out and gets replaced. Glass and lighting can be reversible decisions.

The steel underneath is not one of them.

MejorSet court structures are manufactured in Magnelis® steel from ArcelorMittal, a zinc, aluminium and magnesium alloy (93.5% Zn · 3.5% Al · 3% Mg) certified to C5 under ISO 12944, with up to three times the corrosion resistance of the galvanized steel that most of the sector still builds with.

The difference shows up where courts actually fail. Not across the flat face of a profile, but at the cut edges, the drill points, the welds and the fixings. Standard galvanizing leaves those exposed, and a scratch picked up in transport stays exposed steel. Magnelis behaves differently: zinc and magnesium ions migrate out of the surrounding coating and close the damage with a dense protective layer.

A padel court has dozens of those points.

Over the structure sits a Qualicoat certified finish. C4 as standard on every court, C5 through a double primer system for coastal sites and aggressive industrial environments. Qualicoat audits its applicator plants twice a year and a plant that slips loses its licence, which is why the standard travels intact from one batch to the next.

📍 Puerto Rico's first indoor

Venues that combine sport and recovery almost always build outward from the wellness side and fit a court in where the space allows. This one in Guaynabo did it the other way round. The padel came first, indoors, in the first venue on the island to put the sport under a roof. The yoga, the Hot Pilates, the infrared heat and the cold plunge arrived afterwards, into a building people were already turning up to.

Puerto Rico has roughly twenty courts on the whole island and an active community estimated at around 600 players. The constraint was never interest. It's court time.

On an island in that position, playable hours per day are the asset. A roof is what buys them, and put two MejorSet Premier Padel courts under one.
