Trail Run Spain provides Running and Training ‘holidays’ based in the Comarca de Alhama and Poniente Granadino regions of Granada Province, Andalucia, Spain. These ‘holidays’ can be as easy or as hard as you wish and be tailored towards each individual or group attending. They can be used to prepare you for half marathons, marathons, ultra marathons, stage races, races in high temperatures, desert
s or altitude. The local environment provides spectacular mountain trails, forest tracks and desert. We have quiet roads, beautiful scenery and a fantastic climate. We are within an hour of the Sierra Nevada and the beaches of the Mediterranean coast. You can try the “STAAR Stage Tour”, a tough new ultra tour taking in the Sierra Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Natural Park and famous Andalucian white villages in the Axarquia. You also have the option to attend a ‘Desert Runner Training Camp’, which is a favourite training camp for participants of the Maraton De Sables (Desert Marathon), and other Desert Races and stage races. Our training camps are for runners of all abilities, solo, male or female, clubs or groups, whether you are elite, experienced, just starting or enjoy mixing road with trail and mountain running. The trails and roads in this region of Andalucia provide a fantastic mix of forest, mountain and desert, single track, jeep track or quite back roads all within an hour of the Sierra Nevada or the Mediterranean beaches.
