Afternoon all, having been working with the physio over the last few months, speaking to people in the paddock and advice from my older peers, I have decided to withdraw from racing for the foreseeable future until I have fully recovered from my back and other associated injuries from my Knockhill crash.

Very disappointing for myself however I have to take my long term health seriously and ultimately motorbike racing doesn’t pay the bills (it just is one)

In positive news if my rehab keeps going well I might return to riding towards the end of the year as my attention is fully on 2027 season now and being ready for that

Massive thank you to everyone who supported me this year, apologies for not being able to continue as we all would have hoped.

Afternoon all, update on my injuries / recovery.

During the crash at knockhill I herniated a disc in my lower back pinching my sciatic nerve. Since then I’ve had strong sciatic pain which I’ve been having treatment for.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the injury the recovery time is estimated around 6 months until the disc is fully recovered and stable again so that I’m pain free, able to return to full training and racing capability without risk of re injury.

Very frustrating for me, would rather have broken a bone. This has left me in a difficult position where I need to decide if I want to risk returning to racing soon, where another big crash could re injure the disc and push recovery into next season or call this season to a early close and focus on recovery for next year.

I’ll be working closely with my physio to make this call over the next few weeks.

Free practice day done here at Brands, Team Tolly Racing #33 did well breaking past his PB on scrubs in the demanding track conditions.

Few changed for tomorrow and an oil weep to short after the hot engine temps. See what tomorrow brings 🏁

Quick update - Unfortunately still no racing for me this weekend at BSB Round 5 Brands Hatch.

Myself and the bike are still on the mend.

After stripping the bike down, the crashes at knockhill resulted in 2 bent front wheels, bent forks, bent brake discs as the main damage. These are away for repair currently, once done and the repair bill paid we’ll evaluate the financial hit to the budget.

Personally I am still rehabbing an isssue I have with my sciatic nerve down my left leg. I’m working hard to get back injury free and will go for a fit to ride assessment while at brands as I will be there supporting Team Tolly Racing #33 in the Supersport Cup.

After a week recovering from Knockhill, I’ve managed to get myself back training and in the garage to start rebuilding myself and the bike.

If all goes well we’ll both be ready for Brands Hatch in just over 3 weeks to go racing again.

After our pretty unfortunate weekend in Scotland straight after the engine failure at Round 1 my budget is pretty much gone for this year now, if any business or racing fans are able to come onboard for the remainder of the season I have plenty of spaces available on my bike, riding kit and supporters club 👌

Any and all support is greatly appreciated, especially being a small self funded team 😀

Knockhill BSB Round 3 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

One to put in the f**k it bucket and forget, just a string of bad luck which has plagued me since the season started.

Both races were DNF’s after getting knocked off during another rider’s crash. So far this season we’re yet to see a chequered flag.

However there was some positive take aways.

Friday was the first time I’ve had the Aprilia in the wet, I’ve got a good base setting and feel to work with now into the rest of the season.

We’re getting more confident and faster putting us in the mix. The times were there in qualifying before the Q/S started playing up and again in morning warmup.

Time to go away, get the bike stripped and do a damage assessment to the bike and budget. Once done we’ll decide when we can go again 🏁

Footage of the Race 2 incident.

Unfortunately I was caught up in another riders crash on the first lap again where their bike was on the racing line just over a blind crest.

Lucky all involved are ok and my riding gear did its job 👌

Hi All, Just so everyone aware I’m banged up but ok.

Race 2 - DNF

I was involved in a serious 3 rider crash on the first lap, lucky all involved escaped without serious injuries.

Thank you to the medical team and marshals who handled the incident very professionally. I wish the other 2 riders a speedy recover.

Footage from yesterdays off, luckily both me and the young Scotsman were alright.

Worked on the bike last night and just come back from warm up with no issues👌

Race 1 - DNF

Unfortunately I was taken out on lap one by another rider into the final hairpin.

Very expensive and frustrating day. Quick shifter failure in qualifying that’s only had 5 days use at £500+ to replace, crash damage of a bent disc, engine hoses, stand brakets, damaged fairing, end can and link pipe plus anymore issues we find as the bike gets stripped.

Trying to keep positive and hopefully the bike can be sorted to have another go tomorrow👌
