The diving centre in El Gouna is in the favourable position to access almost 60 dive sites, 10 of which are wrecks - some are even famous. A highlight is surely a visit to the "SS Thistlegorm" probably the most famous wreck in the Red Sea. Also Abu Nuhas with its four well-known wrecks Ghannis D, Kimon M, Chrisulla K and Carnatic are within reach just as much as the 120 metre long Rosalie Möller.

In the south, the diving region borders on the legendary northern areas of Hurghada such as the Careless Reef, Umm Gamar or Shaab Rur. The northern areas on the other hand are exclusive for the use of divers from El Gouna. The names here also sound fantastic such as Bluff Point or Umm Usk.

Anfang August durften wir ganz besondere Gäste begrüßen. 😍Begleitet von Professor Dr. Ralph Schill, Meeresbiologe aus Tübingen, erhielten die Teilnehmer spannende Einblicke in die faszinierende Welt von Fischen, und Delfinen.
Es ging es gemeinsam mit der Dolphin Watch Alliance aufs Rote Meer, um die Indopazifischen Großen Tümmler in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum beim Schnorcheln zu beobachten. 🐬

Ein Tag voller Wissen, Natur und ganz besonderer Begegnungen. 💙

t the beginning of August, we had the pleasure of welcoming some very special guests. 😍

Accompanied by Professor Dr. Ralph Schill, marine biologist from Tübingen, the participants gained fascinating insights into the world of fish and dolphins.

Together with the Dolphin Watch Alliance, they then headed out onto the Red Sea to observe Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins while snorkeling in their natural habitat. 🐬

A day full of knowledge, nature and very special encounters. 💙

Exkursion ins Rote Meer – Lernen, Forschen und Erleben 🌊
Am 25. Juli durften wir 16 Studierende der Universitäten Stuttgart, Hohenheim und Ulm bei ORCA El Gouna begrüßen. Im Rahmen des Moduls „Marine Biodiversität und Ökologie“ begleiteten sie Prof. Ralph Schill ( .science )auf einer spannenden Exkursion.

Gemeinsam mit Angela Ziltener von der (Dolphin Watch Alliance) erwartete die angehenden Biologinnen und Biologen ein abwechslungsreicher Tag mit einem informativen Seminar sowie einer Schnorcheltour zur Beobachtung von Delfinen in ihrem natürlichen Lebensraum.

Vielen Dank an alle Beteiligten für diesen inspirierenden Tag und euren Einsatz für Forschung, Bildung und den Schutz der Meereswelt. 💙🐬

On July 25th, ORCA El Gouna had the pleasure of welcoming 16 students from the Universities of Stuttgart, Hohenheim, and Ulm. As part of the "Marine Biodiversity and Ecology" module, they joined Ralph Schill for an exciting field excursion.

Together with Angela Ziltener from the Dolphin Watch Alliance, the aspiring biologists took part in an inspiring seminar followed by a snorkeling trip to observe dolphins in their natural habitat.

A big thank you to everyone involved for making this a memorable day dedicated to education, research, and marine conservation. 💙🐬
