If you’ve been trying to book a CCR course with us lately, you already know our schedule stays packed months in advance.

To fix that, we’ve been expanding our rebreather team behind the scenes. We are incredibly stoked to announce that Ahmed "Italy" Hagi is officially stepping onto the platform as an SSI CCR Instructor.

Ahmed has spent years clocking hundreds of hours guiding and executing heavy mixed-gas CCR dives in Dahab. He knows the JJ inside out, and he knows exactly what it takes to break old open-circuit habits and build bulletproof loop awareness.

We’ve opened up two new blocks of dates for the SSI CCR Diving | First Level course to wrap up the year. Check the slides for details, and let's get your training materials started.

📅 Available Dates:

September 22–26, 2026

December 1–5, 2026

📥 Team sizes for CCR courses are strictly limited for safety and focus. Drop us a DM or email [email protected] to secure your unit.

“If something goes wrong, you’re out of options.”
The biggest misconception about CCR? That it’s a high-stakes gamble.

In reality, it’s all about redundancy. Swipe through the slides to see how a rebreather diver’s decision tree actually works when things don’t go according to plan.

🌀 What’s the biggest concern keeping you from making the switch to CCR? Let’s talk in the comments.

What does real leadership look like in diving? It’s not about the plastic cards in your wallet or the title printed on your shirt—it’s about the silent example you set every single day.

In our latest blog post, GUE Instructor shares a powerful lesson from a Divemaster debrief that redefines what it means to be a true role model both on land and deep underwater. Swipe through to see why safety culture is always lived, never just taught.

Celebrating PADI Women’s Dive Day at Scuba Seekers! 🌊✨
This Saturday, July 18, the global diving community celebrates PADI Women’s Dive Day. While our dive center is powered by a huge, diverse team of SSI professionals, tech instructors, and office staff, today we’re taking a quick moment to put the spotlight on the women on our crew holding PADI ratings!

From the instructors and divemasters you meet underwater to the faces managing our bookings, logistics, and marketing behind the scenes (or behind the screens), they are a huge part of what makes the Scuba Seekers vibe so special.

Swipe through the carousel to meet them, see their favorite Dahab spots, and find out what gear they can't live without.

"I never wanted to dive again."
In 2006, Alex Alex was on her honeymoon in Thailand. Her Open Water course turned into a total nightmare.😭
On her final dive at 15 meters, she lost control. "I have a clear memory of my instructor frantically signaling to me to dump air and not understanding what to do. I couldn't stop until I shot to the surface."

Terrified and alone at the top, she waited. When the instructor surfaced, he started shouting at her out of sheer panic that she’d given herself DCS.

She got certified but promised herself: “I am never diving again. I am a danger to myself.”

It took four years, a lot of stubbornness, and a trip to a quiet town called Dahab in 2010 to try again.

"The first dive was a disaster. And the second. But that was the week I fell in love with diving."

Fast forward to a few weeks ago in the Canyon. Now a rock-solid instructor with 14 years of teaching experience, Alex got her photo taken by and wrote: "Happy because I'm exactly where I want and need to be."

Every expert was once a terrified beginner. Every confident instructor once had a dive that made them want to quit. If you are struggling with your buoyancy, panicking through mask clears, or feeling overwhelmed during your course—don’t give up just yet.

Your "Canyon moment" is waiting for you. It just takes time, patience, and the right team by your side. 💙

Autumn in Dahab is easily the best season of the year. The heavy summer heat is gone, the water is incredible, and the conditions are perfect for training. But if you’re joining Ahmed "Italy" Hagi on the platform, don't expect a relaxing holiday.

GUE training is all about stripping away bad habits and building bulletproof control, whether you're learning to manage a drysuit, switching to doubles, or refining your trim down to the millimeter. It’s intense, and there’s a lot of video analysis, but the feeling when everything finally clicks is unmatched.

Whether you want to fix your core skills with a full Fundamentals class or target a specific area with a Primer, we’ve got the right focus ready for this autumn. Check out the slides to see where you fit in. ➡️

👥 Instructor: Ahmed "Italy" Hagi

📥 Spots for GUE courses fill up fast because team sizes are strictly limited. Drop us a DM or email [email protected] with the course you want, and let’s get your materials sorted.

How to Survive Dahab Summer Diving 😅
Dahab summers are beautiful, but shore diving in July and August is a serious endurance sport. In 40°C+ heat, how you handle yourself and your gear on land dictates your entire dive.

We asked our team how they handle the intense Egyptian heat during full days of shore diving.
Swipe through for their non-negotiable summer rules. ➡

From strict hydration protocols (yes, 5–6 liters is the baseline!) to protecting your gear from the scorching sun, these small adjustments make a massive difference in your comfort, air consumption, and safety.
At Scuba Seekers, mindful diving starts on land.
