What a week! 🐪🧗🙌 Climbing in some of the best Crags of the Sinai between Dahab, Nuweiba and St. Catherine.

We first had a few straight-forward cragging days at the two popular sectors of Wadi Gnai in Bedouin Garden and Camel Canyon before heading into the remote Wadi Hamam Canyon.⛰️⛰️

And some multi pitch action on Jebel Milehis’ sandstone rock kept even the most advanced participants busy, while the rest of us tried Sandboarding on the Haduda Sand dune.🏄‍♀️

With the Bedouin Guides from offering us their hospitality and a comfortable and authentic desert camp as well as the local climbing instructors and Abdalla showing us their home spot, and of course .elony to take care of the experience🙌

Given by Wolfgang Vogl, who has certified over 80% of all climbing instructors in Egypt, and will travel to Egypt for the course it doesn’t need much more explanation…🔥

White Slab Sector - Wadi Shellal

This magnificent slab of white granite will be on your right when entering the narrow part of the valley after the Chocolate Bar Sector

12 routes between 25-35m will put your foot work and mental stability to the test - will you trust the angles and smear on the sometimes featureless dents in the blank sections? Or are you going to scan for microedges and commit your way up almost non-existent crystals?

These slab sections are usually preceded by enjoyable layback or crimpy moves on the excellent rock.

Further up you'll find multi pitch extensions, the first one being Great White from just a week ago - be wary though of the devastating effect rock fall can have tumbling down a slab like this and make sure to have people stay clear far and wide while climbing the longer routes.

Facing Northwest this wall rarely sees any sun and is great for even the early months of April or May if there's a little breeze on the shores near Ras Sudr.
