Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog)

This is a basic yoga pose that works with the whole body.

The first and most important thing in this pose is breathing. Because the body is upside down, breathing often becomes difficult. Without calm and free breathing, the pose will not give a physical effect.

Before focusing on the stretch, make sure your breath feels the same as in a standing or seated position, when the body is upright.
Guide the inhale from the neck down to the pelvis, so the breath moves through the whole body and fills the lungs and the belly.

Stay in the pose for 4 slow breathing cycles, keeping the breath smooth and natural.
