This concept has been cultivated by major European clubs, emphasizing how players can navigate challenging circumstances—on and off the field—with ease while maintaining strong psychological resilience. A footballer's mentality comprises essential components such as self-confidence, emotional regulation, a strong commitment to tasks, and effective recovery strategies.
How can a player's and a team's mentality be transformed when guided by a single person—the coach?
Pep Guardiola once told the press: 'I don’t believe in the physical aspect; I believe mentality controls everything in football.” Likewise, Manchester United’s Juan Mata, after Ole Gunnar Solskjær took charge, stated: 'We’ve now become mentally stronger.
