Fake is an idea that was born in Cairo in 2008 that considers props as one of the main protagonists in filmmaking and advertising. Today, Fake Prop Shop offers a wide spectrum of special props services, crafting and model making for film production houses in Egypt as well as the Middle East that brings an experience close to shopping. Fake aspires to thrive in the field of creation and design of c

ustom-built props or repurposed ready-mades. We provide set designers and filmmakers with items from an expanding library of props that can be rented, acquired, customized or tailor-made on order. Fake consists of a design team, a production team and an extended team of craftsmen running different workshops that span: pottery, molding, metal die-casting and polishing, sewing, laser and digital printing, silkscreen printing, tin and metal works, glass and wood workshops. As we believe in the richness of visuals, our services extend beyond iconic prop-making to encompass special effects and 3D post-production work that brings fiction closer to a reality.
