We ran the live session on Saturday and one moment stuck with me more than the rest.
Someone asked a question I hear in almost every room I work in:
"how do I show more presence without coming across as arrogant? " and the answer surprised a few people.

Presence was never about adding something; it's almost always about removing something.
The over-explaining. The qualifying every sentence before anyone pushes back.
The rushing to fill silence. The need to prove instead of the willingness to state.

The most present leaders in any room are not doing more, they're doing less, with far more intention.

There’s a moment in almost every senior meeting that decides how the room reads you,
and most people don’t even notice it’s happening.

It’s the moment someone challenges your idea.

The instinct is to defend, to explain, to prove the idea was right,
and that instinct is exactly what makes a senior room quietly downgrade you.

The leaders who hold presence in that moment do something different,
they get curious instead of defensive,
they ask one question before they respond,
and the whole room feels the shift even if nobody can name it.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately
because it’s one of the things I’m going to break down properly
in the live session on August 22nd,
the small, almost invisible moments where executive presence is actually won or lost.

35 CEOs in one room.

Different industries, different decades, completely different business realities.

And every single conversation gave me a different way of looking at a problem I thought I already understood.

I was part of the Growth Mastermind Founding Edition as a VIP Participant last week and honestly the thing that stayed with me had nothing to do with what came from the stage.

It was the person sitting next to me.

That’s what the mastermind concept actually means when it works the way it’s supposed to.
