Began Boxing in 1986, achieved many titles in the light heavy weight category such as "South Zone Boxing Champion (Gold), All India University Boxing Championship (3 Gold’s in 1989, 1991 & 1992 respectively), All India AK Mishra Memorial Boxing Championship -1992, Bronze Medals at Senior national championships, National Games of India. Beside this, Captained the state teams at various national events including Federation Cup, All India YMCA meet, Inter-University (Overall Champions) and so on". Highlights as a Boxer -
