H.D.U-Battle Project is a Contest for Hip-Hop Dancers. It was organized by H.D.U-Alexandria dedicated to
Hip-Hop Dancers in Egypt.
- Justification for the implementation of H.D.U-Battle Project:
• Lack of interest in cultural institutions to support the Hip-hop Dancers in Egypt.
• There are no any Official Contest (Battle Dance) for Hip-hop Dancers in Egypt.
• A lot of people from Egypt interest
ed in Hip-hop Dance.
- The general objectives of H.D.U-Battle Project:
• Protection and Preservation of Art and Culture.
• Unify the Hip-hop Dance community in Egypt.
• Educate the community what the meaning of Hip-hop Culture.
- Procedural specific objectives of H.D.U-Battle Project:
• Provide places for workshops and stage for show.
• Providing professional trainers for the workshops of (Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary dance) from Egypt.
• workshops to teach the basics of Hip-hop Dance
- Target groups of H.D.U-Battle Project:
• Young hip-hop dancers, from age 14 and 22 years old with previous experience in dance (ballet, hip hop, Jazz, Contemporary dance and folklore).
- Exact duration of completion the implementation:
• Between February, 2016 and April, 2016.
• Between September, 2016 and December, 2016.
- The measures proposed for the sustainability:
• Provide the budget.
• Professional trainers from Egypt.
• Studio equipped for workshops
• Stage for Contest.
- Categories are expected to benefit from H.D.U-Battle Project:
• Category: Hip-Hop Dancers in Egypt.
• Many: 140 Dancers in Alexandria.
