Aya Journey is an adventure in West Georgia and a unique opportunity to explore Georgian culture and tradition and learn local cuisine and w**ery specialties through multiple workshops and meetings with locals. The Byzantine historian of the 6th century, Procopius Caesarea believed that the "Aia-Kutaia" modern city Kutaisi was the residence of the King of Kolkheti-Ayet. Kutaisi is one of the oldest cities in the world. This city is more than 3500 years old. Old Kutaisi is described in detail in the monumental epic poem of the Greek poet and scientist Apollonius of Rhodes of the 3rd century BC - "Argonautica". Aya is identified from the beginning as the country on the eastern coast of the Black Sea. Our journey also covers this very area where Ayia was once supposed to be and where the ancient myths about Medea and the Argonauts are still alive today.
